Ghost of Truth
2 TD runs that NEVER happen if Moore is on the field. Chris Hope tried, but can't hold Moore's jock, sorry just not possible. That plus Asante being on the field = completely different game. With Moore the fits wouldn't have been missed, nor would Cam have been able to break off his run. Sorry folks, literally 2 plays were the difference in winning a game where the Falcons just looked like they couldn't have cared less to be there. bighurt
Yeah we missed Willy Mo, who lurks in the middle, where Carolina completed plenty of passes. We missed the the Mizzo Head Buster, but our concern is locking up Home field and the playoffs, so we need to be healthy come our first playoff game. If he is not ready, we have to rest him again for the Giants game. Edited December 10, 2012 by bighurt
whitekb011
Two reasons we lost:1. Panthers Showed up2. Falcons did not
4dabirds
The OP isn't wrong IMO, not to mention, I think Assante and Morre bring a more amped up presence with them. To me that game was lost from the start, because the team came out flat. That's on coaching and the leaders of the team. There was no excuse for playing at a 3/4 effort for the first half. The O did not sustain drives, and the D could not get off the field. The coaches had nothing in the way of a creative game plan either. Not seeing the no huddle until the second half was just bad. I noticed poor efforts on running complete routes that resulted in a sack. Our line just sat there and got smacked in the face. Just a poor effort all around. Where's the heart fellas? Miller2Rison
i think that would have been a diff outcome have we not got scewed on the 2 pt conversion imho, but yes we missed some key defensive players that we need healthy before playoffs
Dem Birds
Game would have been different, but the Offense still needed to show up earlier. Little things make a difference where you don't think they do. We get that 2 point conversion, (which we did) Panthers may have played the next series different and not even have ran that screen pass. People will say "2 points didn't cost them the game", and officially it didn't, but it could have had a greater affect than people realize. But you still gotta tackle. SoLuvinMyFalcons
Those two runs should never happen had Beirmann not lost containment. Had he stayed put he would have made the tackle!!
Faithful Falcon
Those two runs should never happen had Beirmann not lost containment. Had he stayed put he would have made the tackle!!You really can't put that on Beirmann. He was rushing the passer. Cam sold it great on his run. The problem with the screen, was not one. Williams made moves to go along with the blocking.

Plus neither one of them would have helped that putrid offense.
Psychic Gibbon
The difference was how they came out to play. The Panthers went in wanting to win while the Falcons came out lethargic, as if they didn't care about the game.
