g-dawg
I realize Falcons still have best record in NFC and probably will be tied for best record in NFL after Patriots beat Texans tonight. The overconfident Falcons fans will say, "sure _______ team has good defense but they have "X" wins and Falcons have "X + 2" wins, etc. What I am seeing in Falcon though is an inability to compete in the interior offensive line - and to some degree - an inability to compete on Defensive Line as well.Let's stick to offense. Take the Niners/Dolphins game for example going on right now. I think its 6-3 Niners in 2nd quarter. Falcons are a much better team than Dolphins but the Dolphins are solid up front on both lines. They can compete w/ a team like Niners in an ugly smashmouth game.Falcons just don't have the ability to protect Matt Ryan in playoffs and Falcons defense could not get off the field today. The poor performance on the lines is going to eat the Falcons alive in the playoffs. No team with this many weapons should go into a 3 game funk like we have.

DMT11
I love Julio - but that is coming to bite us a little bit, on 3rd down - interior Oline is getting F U kED Up
Bird of a Feather
http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/dlI don't see why you are so intent on predicting that the Falcons will lose in the playoffs. Let's count our chickens after they hatch.

Pacific_Falcon
Falcons defense could not get off the field today.Against the Panthers. The F*CKING PANTHERS!!! You would think Brady and Wes Welker were out there running amok. It was the PANTHERS.
stizz
Gotta evaluate the C and RG positions, cause right now, it aint working. I'm in favor of sliding Konz to C and inserting Johnson at RG, but we all know Smitty isn't sitting McClure.
Falcanuck
The 49ers have lost to the Rams, the Giants have lost to the Eagles and Redskins and the Seahawks have lost to the Cards, Rams, Lions and Dolphins... But we can't block them. Edited December 9, 2012 by Falcanuck
freebird310
Maybe we should just chit and fall back in it, hang it up now....after all, we lost a game..... Edited December 9, 2012 by freebird310

falcons007
Because the 49ers have lost to the Rams, the Giants have lost to the Eagles and Redskins and the Seahawks have lost to the Cards, Rams, Lions and Dolphins...?It doesn't matter the teams which win in playoffs start fast and keep the lead win most of the times. Can't be passive and got to stop running MT up the middle on the first downs.

stizz
Agreed. But one loss to a bad team does not mean the Falcons will not play well in the playoffs.I'm not worried about the loss as much as I am the same formula to start a game. Start off slowly, typically playing down to our comp and then make second half adjustments just to try to squeak one out. Won't work in the postseason where teams are playing aggressively at all times.
Pacific_Falcon
Agreed. But one loss to a bad team does not mean the Falcons will not play well in the playoffs. We stunk against Carolina at home as well as the Raiders. Just because we pulled a few Houdini wins out doesn't mean this game is a fluke. There have been some problems on both sides of the ball for awhile now, and most of it has been against teams that can't wipe their own azz. If anyone here doesn't think that spells a serious potential problem once the playoffs start they need to put the bong down.

Guest Negatorris
If Koetter is as good as he should be, he will implement the no huddle, and a bunch of plays with Ryan passing from the shotgun, or passing from 3 step drops.

BigBird35
I sure wish Thomas Dimitroff would use our draft picks along the offensive line a little more wisely.
falconsd56
Btw the Dolphins are doing a pretty good job of blocking the niners! And the Giants had a big lead but now are only up 1 score vs the saints................the same team we beat by 2 scores.but yeah we are toast!!******* idiots

wleggett
Since we're playing the who lost to who and who beat who game really none of the teams have a chance. Should really cancel the playoffs since every team in the NFL sucks using that mentality.
