Optimus*Crimes
If the Falcons beat the Panthers and Lions do we automatically get in? We are pretty much in. Just need a Seattle lose to clinch a playoff spot and a Tampa loss to Clinch the division. If I'm not mistaken, we actually can clinch next week with a win. Tuggle'2
I know we can clinch division but what about homefieldWell you said playoffs. Division means playoffs. Seattle means playoffs not caring about division.
Optimus*Crimes
Homefield is just a few games. If we win 2 more or so, That puts us at 13-1 (13-3 at the end) we'll have homefield.

Tuggle'2
Why do we need Seattle to win?If either lose we are automatically in the playoffs. Its just two different ways. If Seattle loses we clinch our spot in the playoffs as a whole. If the Bucs lose we win the division. So we have 2 ways to guarantee a playoff spot this week. Joremarid
the falcons win any remaining game, or the bucs lose any remaining game, and the falcons win the division and thus at least one home game.any combination of 2 falcons wins or giants losses would eliminate the giants from catching us..... same with packers.any combination of 3 falcons wins or bears losses would eliminate the bears from catching us.... same with 49ersany combination of 1 falcons win or bucs loss would eliminate the bucs from catching us.... same with the vikings and seahawks..... although i have to double check this, but i don't think the vikings could finish ahead of us in the standings
octoslash
2 more wins probably gets you homefield, 3 more would be impossible for any other team to catch.

Their tie is better than our 3rd loss.

octoslash
SanFran ain't winning out. They have the Pats and have to go to Seattle where it's always tough. Plus I wouldn't be shocked to see the Rams beat them tomorrow. That's right...I'm crazy!

Dr_truth189
The magic number currently sits at 2 1/2. It could bump to 3 or fall to 2 after Sunday.
fuego
What makes you think the 49ers are going to win I have no idea whether they are or not. Just correcting that we are assured the 1 seed if we are 13-3. You can't forget about that tie. A tie is not a loss.

B_Lo_Touchdowns
Winning the division guarantees us 1 home game in the playoffs. If the Broncos beat the Bucs will win the division. If Chicago beats Seattle we also win. Home field advantage guarantees us 2 home game in the playoffs. HFA goes to the top 2 teams based on record and they also get a week off. 49ers will NOT win out. Every game they have leftist on the road. 6 road games in a row is hard to win. The Falcons just need to win 2 games and we will have HFA and the number 1 seed. The #1 seed plays every game at home. The Division and NFCC will be in the Dome if we win 2 games. Doesn't matter which 2. I think we knock off Panties and Giants then rest our starters vs Lions and Bucs.
