TheFatboi
But he didn't last night, and it was obvious that he needed a week off.But what is your crying about it gonna do? He still played and he'll probably play next week. It is what it is.

TheFatboi
It is when the 3rd snap is a 38 yard completion against you.Stop it. They didn't even score that drive. That was a great throw and catch with 2 falcons on the play. Nothing you can do about a great throw and catch dude. Point is moot.

Peyton
They have not violated because like I said before players may not say they are hurt. You're ging in circles running yourself ragged about something you can't control. Let it go. atleast until him playing causes us to lose a game.Well obviously your claim that him playing has not made his injury worse is completely bunk then. If he injured it against Denver and the team couldn't tell he was injured, then obviously playing has made the injury worse. To say otherwise is just silliness. You're right. Cry on. My bad brother.I appreciate your support.
Finally
I am trying to understand the argument for running the guy out there and aggravating the injury again every week.Fatboi has just disclosed that the injury happened in the Denver game. Since I believe him, I think it would be obvious that him playing every week is obviously making his injury worse.I am trying to decide how you know he is aggravating it every week. Couldn't he simply be being aggravated by it?You are making assumptions and conclusions without all of the facts. You don't even know what kind of injury it is. I bet I could make a good guess from the way he injured it and the way he held his arm when he was in the most pain and if I am right it is not that serious but could cause a lot of pain. Finally
And according to you, the Falcons have made a fairly serious violation of the league's injury reporting rules, so I hope nobody from the NFL is reading this board. That is assuming he informed the Falcons and it was a reportable injury. I doubt the league requires every cut and bruise.

TheFatboi
LOL that's weak sauce man.So in all your years of watching competitive sports you've never seen someone get injured, heal, re injure the same part again? Andre Johnson just reinjured his groin after finally being healthy the last 2 weeks. It happens. If you don't like the real you should cease asking questions about player injuries. And i'm only speaking from being injured playing football, track, and baseball. Playing thru injuries, healing and reinjuring the same thing. I've had pulled muscles sustained in a game. Sat out the rest of that game and got back on the field the very next week and played every week thereafter until I got healthy. Reinjured the same thing during track season. It happens my man. Butudontseeme™
I'm not going to get into an argument about it but I do think they need to hold Asante out until he Is healed.

Peyton
But it is pretty funny that you are using that argument considering the point of it is that he keeps reinjuring himself.

If he goes thru protocol all week and he's cleared and he feels he can give it a go he will. That simple. These extra days will do him some good tho. He's already hurt so it's just being aggrivated. You missed that obviously. He's not reinjuring it every week.
Finally
So what you are saying is that the injury is worse now.If it is what I think it is the first injury would have healed in a short amount of time. If it was less severe than this time he was probably just sore for a little while.

Why, if he was not healthy enough to practice, should he risk playing in game? I admire the guts and pride, but the body only gives so much. He's not reinjuring it every week. You are talking in semantics. When you aggravate an injury, you are slowing down healing. Now...it's possible that Samuel has a torn rotator cuff and he's going to need surgery after the season anyway. And that would be too bad. But if that's the case, I think we need to play these other guys and make sure they are battle tested for the playoffs because there is a high likelihood that Asante wouldn't be able to go. Tuggle'2
It sucked to see him go out so fast , well to go out at all. I hope the long rest will be enough for him to heal up. I wouldn't mind if he sat for Carolina. The back ups preformed very well against Brees. I think they would be fine against Scam. I swear McClain is all over the place and am very happy we got him. His is no different. Matt played when turf toe was still bothering him on 09. These guys are gladiators man. It's hard to sit a man down if he feels he can give it a go. This ain't pee wee. They get paid to play and believe it or not some of them actually like to earn their checks. It's not a rotator cuff tho I assure you. If he wants everybody to know he'll say. I don't disagree with you about the other guys playing at all. I was just stating that if he can play he will try to give it a go. Doesn't mean I agree with that decision but neither you nor I is Asante Samuel and Mike Smith. That's all I was saying.

McClain missed a pic last night and also Owens. Drew could've easily ended up with 7 on the night. I would have loved that.

I would of literally died and gone to heaven. I nearly did with the 5 we got , the win , and the stopping of the record.
