Biggest Football Pet Peeve?

Mine is easily fans using sacks to compare/evaluate DEs. Biermann has 3, Babin has 5.5. So.. Babin is a little better!

I'd like to think those who know much about football realize sacks are a incredibly misleading number. Not every sack is 'created equally', such as Aldon Smith terrorizing a D vs. a clean up, coverage sack, and so on. Trent Cole has 1 sack this season and still a top 10 pss rushing end on PFF. Just an example. PLEASE realize there are things such as hits, pressures, hurries, etc that make way more off a difference than a couple plays per year (the sack number).

Sorry for the rant, just annoyed at people simplifying the game so much.

I don't give a fook what random people really think or say. Everyone has their own opinions and IMO are allowed to think how they want. I can debate with them but never expect to change minds.

About the actual game of football though. My biggest pet peeve is penalties. One being the worst to me.

Jumping off sides causing a free 1st down. ( especially near the end of a game )

I don't like the offense being moved half the distance to the goal for penalties. I'd prefer they move the first down further away by 5-15 yards. For example, a personal foul on the 7 yard line moves the LoS to the 4, but the first down remains at the 17, which is more easily made. I'd prefer they give the defense the option of moving the first down marker to the 32 and leave the LoS at the 7.

I also share this with you. But I will state it a little different. I hate when people think a person isn't a fan when they don't think like them. If a person don't like a particular player or if a person don't like what a team is doing (regardless of record), so what. Let's debate a little and move on...have a beer and root for the team the next game.

Non-team called timeouts and breaks.
