J-Wall
Idaho sports talk radio is the source. They ate pretty accurate in their knowledge. Only thing they have been off on was Mcneill to sign with them in the offseason

J-Wall
Babin was cut. From my understanding Eagles have to pay majority of the contract. Babin could sign for vet min and still get paid big from eagles.
Rajhae Battle
I said earlier we are 10-1 it would have been difficult for him to make it all the way to us.
theProf
Babin was cut. From my understanding Eagles have to pay majority of the contract. Babin could sign for vet min and still get paid big from eagles. From Yahoo Sports: Eagles release Jason Babin as Vinny Curry starts to riseBy Brian McIntyre | Shutdown Corner – 2 hours 55 minutes agoIn what has been a busy day at the NovaCare Complex, the Philadelphia Eagles announced on Tuesday that they have placed Pro Bowl defensive end Jason Babin on waivers."We appreciate everything that Jason has given this team over the last couple of years," Reid said. "We wish him all the best as he continues his career. By releasing him today, this gives us an opportunity to give more playing time to some of [the] younger guys in the defensive line rotation."The 32-year-old Babin followed defensive line coach Jim Washburn to the Eagles in 2011, signing a five-year, $27.5 contract after posting a 12.5-sack, Pro Bowl season with the 2010 Tennessee Titans. Babin instantly rewarded the Eagles, posting a team-high 18 sacks, which ranked third in the NFL and earned the well-traveled former first-round pick out of Western Michigan a second trip to the Pro Bowl.Through 11 games in 2012, Babin has made 11 starts, played in 60.61 percent of the team's defensive snaps and has a team-high 5.5 sacks. The 40 snaps Babin logged in Monday night's 30-22 loss to the Carolina Panthers were his highest total since playing 56 snaps during a Week 6 loss to the Detroit Lions. Eagles second-round defensive end Vinny Curry was active for the first time on Monday night, recording five tackles in 21 snaps, and the club plans to give Curry more playing time down the stretch.Because the trade deadline has passed, all NFL players, including vested veterans (players with four or more accrued seasons), are subject to the waivers process. Babin is earning $5.575 million in fully guaranteed base salary and whoever claims Babin's contract off waivers will be responsible for the $1,639,706 that remains on his 2012 salary. That team will also take on the three years and $16.65 million in non-guaranteed base salary that remains on Babin's current contract, which also contains $2.025 million in base salary escalators.According to salary cap data maintained by Shutdown Corner, the Eagles had over $142 million committed to their 2013 salary cap. With the salary cap expected to remain in the $121 million range in 2013, even with over $20 million of space from 2012 they could "roll over" into next season, the Eagles may need to do some trimming to be in compliance next March. By releasing Babin, the Eagles have saved $3.725 million in 2013 cap space and, perhaps more importantly, $4.625 million in cash.

J-Wall
Though it would be sweet to get him we are around the very last either us or the Texans to put a claim in. If by some chance he clears waivers he gets to choose where he wants to go. That would he an ideal thing. Just not sure if that's going to happen from what I've been hearing. I know some peeps on the inside and sounds like there will be 2-3 teams that will risk the waiver on him. Seattle,Denver,Patriots and the possibility of the Rams but my guy said since they're pretty much out of the race for a playoff spot they may pass. Bill Brasky
Also, this is interesting, Eagles are smarter than I thought.Ross TuckerVerified@RossTuckerNFLBabin already claimed termination pay in his career. It's a 1-time thing which means Eagles owe him nothing
J-Wall
Well you may be right and I'm wrong. If he clears waivers though only the eagles are going to pay him that money was my point
Dirtybird#11
The Seahawks have slim to no intrest with the front 7 they have they got a killer Dhttp://www.cbssports.com/nfl/teams/depth-chart/SEA/seattle-seahawksI actually think they are VERY similair to the 2009 team that beat the saints but they could go farther? J-Wall
Well I did not know that as well as everyone else. Eagles were smart then getting out of the contract for nothing

Eagles were smart then getting out of the contract for nothingYeah, I didn't know that termination pay was a one time thing either. Too bad we're the first (but I doubt the last) to cut Ray Edwards. No thanks. If Nolan wanted him I would be okay with it but I was just mocking the board for getting all hot and bothered for a player that was not likely to fall that far unless there was a really good reason. jeffro2000
Whoever signs him could still cut him at the end of the year though and owe him nothing. You pay him the 1.6 this year then go from there. The Eagles are/were on the hook for the guaranteed money, but I don't know how the termination pay thing works. AF89
Would have thought Seattle had enough pass rushers? In anycase I'd be fine with this, if he can make them better and muddle up the wildcard race then so much the better. We're still going to need to come up with some pass rush though.
