north falcon
I had the game on the radio and the guys were saying that he couldn't even lift his arm in the 4th quarter. Was he really playing that hurt? If so, why was he in on the last play?
dmite
He reached up and grabbed/swatted the ball away, but then was on the ground for a while holding his shoulder. He toughed it out.
Capitalist
He was holding after key plays... But he keep performing... Near the end of the game, they were throwing lots of medium and long balls... He even dropped an easy under thrown long ball...But the main thing he did was insure that it was a Fail Mary... Hope he recovers quick

Hope he recovers quickJust his presence kept Freeman in check yesterday, they weren't sure the severity of his injury was. He did more just running down the field with guys than most NFL players could ever hope to do 100% healthy.
north falcon
Thanks. Dave and Wes made it seem like his arm was dangling by a thread. I'm glad he toughed it out, but since the objective on a hail mary is to reach your arms up in the air and swat the ball down, is anyone questioning Smith's decision to put him in there? Couldn't Jones or Gonzalez do that equally as well?
Dr. Billings
Asante got Heart. He'll be ready Thursday. I believe, and this is my opinion, with Weatherspoon back the defense will play much better. I know Sproles is back but this is what I thinkWeatherspoon > Sproles ;0)
fan72
Because he is one of our best players and we didn't want to loose the important divisional game on a hail mary?

When he "can't lift his arm" according to Wes and Dave, is he a great option for defending a hail mary?

So I'd say he was our best defender (even with 1 arm) Edited November 26, 2012 by falcon_owns_nfc_south
Statick
Asante is the toughest guy on the team.
falcons007
He knocked down the hail marry and probably saved the game. He is a very tough and unselfish player.
