trudweathers
You can take a rent a car onto I-285 for a few laps. No money involved but the gambling is tactile.

MilleniumFalcon
Harrah's in Cherokee, NC is the closest one I believe (around 150 miles north). A similar drive from Manhattan to Atlantic City when I visited up there. Edited November 17, 2012 by MilleniumFalcon

4dabirds
Georgia could use some casinos, just to boost tourism. While I know that gambling is an addiction for many, so are many other things. If someone wants to gamble they will do it legally or illegally. You certainly don't have to go to a casino to get addicted to gambling. I used to bet on college football and the NFL for a few years, and all it took was for me to lose big a few times to set me straight. I'm still tempted to take some action here and there but I don't. Casino gambling is entirely different for me. I find casinos to be entertaining not just for gambling, but people watching, drinking free, and for the excitement. I don't care for the Native American Casino's, but Vegas is the bomb. Edited November 18, 2012 by 4dabirds
