This draft allows us to plug holes, and do what Nolan wants to do and that is Run a 4-3, 3-4 hybrid Defense.

It gives us a boost at RB

It gives us a replacement for Tony at TE

Fills a Hole at the RG position

Brings competition and depth to the OLB and MLB positions

I don't think Gillislee would be there that late either, but this draft is sort of one of those dream type scenarios, I really really like it.

haha I like it, yer he seems like he will be a boss all year and with his power style as soon as he runs the 40 people will fall in love with him making him a 2nd rounder.

Porter is in no way a capable 3-4 OLB at the next level. He's a much much better 4-3 OLB. His strong suite has always been in pass coverage and his instincts are starting to take over in the run game. As for pass rushing he's one dimensional and relies completely on speed. Watch his game against Arkansas last year, the # of times Dennis Johnson up ends and stonewalls him is amazing for a guy that was regarded as the "Next Von Miller"

O BTW Dennis Johnson is a RB not an OL-man.

Miller was a little big big than Porter. If Porter puts on about 10 or 15 more pounds he'll be the same weight as Jarvis Jones who is compared to Miller. Plus we're not expecting to get a Von Miller type player in the 3rd round.

It's not size, it's the fact that Von Miller was a very polished multi-dimensional rusher where as Porter isn't

Actually Von Miller also relied too much on his athleticism in college, that was the only knock I had on him. The same can be said of Damontre Moore as well. I think that Texas A&M system preaches speed off the edge.
