The Falcon Jedi Knight
1. Akeem Dent in a Mike Nolan Defense. Doesnt work. Dent is hot garbage as it is, but he certainly doesnt fit Nolan's 4-3 scheme. Dent wouldnt fit a 3-4 either. Dent is a situational LBer at best. He is not a starting MLBer.2. Turner + O-Line. Too much between these 2 things to say here, so enough said. Revamp both positions or we are 1 And Done again this January;3. Defensive Fundamentals. Too many "hot-heads" on this defense that does not seem to think that Tackling is a necessary skill (Asante , Dunta , ......more) .And Ray Edwards - SEE YA! Bye! Good RiddanceThis team plays way too soft, too much finesse. If they dont get physical and ANGRY then its going to be the same old story. Optimus*Crimes
Dent is improving. Problem on D is the lack of tackling. When they hit someone, they are either going for the knock out (see Dunta/Willy Mo) or the strip (see Willy Mo and DeCoud). They need to wrap up, and gang tackle. On the offensive side, we need to work to our weaknesses. For example, if Turner and the OL aren't going to open lanes, you have to wear the D down another way. Throw Ryan into the no huddle for a drive. Wear them out. That's when we'll see holes opening.

Ryan dominates in the No Huddle. It makes the play calling less predictable, and it allows Ryan to use his most powerful asset, his brain. Like you said, instead of running to set up the pass, we need to pass to set up the run.
