Nobody Else Is Bringing It Up, So I Will

We, the Atlanta Falcons, are now known as a zone-blitzing defensive team.

It blows my mind I'm saying that in correlation with the Falcons, but it's true.

Nolan has introduced the intellect to this defense that we all knew it needed.

No more of BVG's predictability and "you get what you see" schemes.

I love it. I'm actually excited to watch our defense play on Sundays. That's the biggest difference with this team. The attitude, sure, but I think the attitude itself stems from Nolan being here and bringing such an incredible defensive scheme to a team that has really, since 2008, been a sustainable defense away from a Super Bowl.

I really do believe it's our year, boys.

This team can beat ANY team this year. We've been begging for a defense for years and Nolan has delivered thus far. I have just as much fun watching our D play as I do our offense and I NEVER thought id say that.

Hopefully smitty and blank can convince Nolan to stay and be our **** lebeau/ jim Johnson.

You said it. I am finally excited to watch our defense. I don't sit waiting in pain for our offense to come back up. I still would rather our O on the field. I can finally enjoy our defense as well. Its nice.

Luckily for us, Nolan doesn't want to be a head coach, he loves being a coordinator. But he bounces around a lot, he's almost like a hired gun, it seems. Maybe the reason being he's coached defenses on bad teams without QB's that don't win and head coaches get replaced a lot, like in Miami. If we are a secure team, I think he sticks around a while.

He has bounced around a lot but each situation was unique. He was fired from San Fran because they couldn't get over the hump, although he really set the foundation for the current team.

In Denver he got into a power struggle with mcdaniels even though he vastly improved their D in one season. Mcdaniels is said to be a control freak.

In Miami he was just a casualty of a rebuilding process (see: mike Zimmer 2007)

THE GUY'S A GOOD FIT HERE. HE KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING, AND

I LIKE HIM BECAUSE HE MAKES HALFTIME CHANGES WHEN HE

NEEDS TO. HE DOESN'T TRY TO FIX IT IF IT AIN'T BROKEN.
