Too early . . . . as of now, I would say Ryan is a top 2 forerunner though

Nice props from a classy guy. Still too early for all this talk of MVP though IMHO. We got a TON of football left, and we all know Matt is not getting any praise in the end unless we make a big splash in the playoffs. I would dare say Matt himself would not want it any other way.

Very Classy by Flacco.... Its just most fans of both sides cant loke their QB more without dogging out the other QB... Both are good in their own right.... Its just Ryan is Ballin on another level right now..

matt is not interested.

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan doesn’t like to discuss his accomplishments for more than a couple of minutes.

That’s nothing unusual. Ryan never says too much when asked to consider his chance to become NFL MVP.

The same goes when approaching Ryan about whether Falcons can go undefeated in the regular season or if he’s still concerned about his winless record in three playoff games.

It’s difficult to get much emotion from Ryan other than the vibe he puts off that’s intelligent, cool and polite.

Ryan ranks third in NFL passer rating and completion percentage and in touchdowns, but said there are just two statistical categories that have real meaning.

“From a quarterback standpoint, it’s all about touchdowns and turnovers,” he said on Wednesday. “Those kinds of things are ultimately the most important. So far, we’ve done a pretty good job of that this year.”Ryan has been called Matty Ice since he was teenager, earning the nickname by performing well under pressure at William Penn Charter School in the Philadelphia suburbs.

Maybe he thinks all the MVP talks will distract Ryan. What he don't realize is Ryan is focus on one thing and that's a playoff win....

You act as though they have anything but respect for each other. There is no rivalry there. The Ryan vs Flacco thing is a silly fan thing.

If anything Flacco would love to meet Ryan in the Superbowl. There is zero chance Flacco would want to hinder his NFC counterpart.

U would be crazy if you think Flacco wouldn't want to one up Ryan in their careers. Not saying he actually said this to distract Ryan, but to say Flacco doesn't see Ryan as a internal rival is just being naive.

That moment when you realize one of your best friends in law school went to high school with Matt Ryan.....

That is silly. Flacco can't one-up Ryan unless they meet in a game. Flacco has nothing to apologize for in his career. Like Ryan he has had some bad games but all QBs do. All he cares about is helping his team win games, something he and Ryan have in common. Flacco's tweet is the direct opposite of everything you are accusing him of. He is showing respect and support for a fellow 08 draft class member. Ryan is not keeping him from getting media love either. Like the Falcons, the Ravens are largely ignored.

The only thing that has made Flacco mad is that during his time there if they lose it is his fault but if they win it has been because of their defense and R.Rice. He probably should not have made the comments he did but it would make me mad too.
