Brees is great

but he cant do it alone

Saints D has made it Impossible to run the ball

he77 they look up at the score board and they are down by 3 scores before the end of the 1st quarter....

I dont care how good you are

when you are forced to pass just to get back in the game, you are in trouble, Ds are teeing off on Brees,....

Never seen an NFL D as bad as Saints

almost 500 yds a game they give up

thats just crazy man

A scrub? Probably NOT.

But, suddenly Brees is not the same QB without Payton.

Same receivers and same running backs... just a huge loss of swag and results.

Offering gawdy numbers will never allow Brees to be viewed as a scrub,

but I am watching Brees over the 2nd half of the season as a gutcheck.

I think if he is able to wrestle a few non-controversial wins despite his defense will go a long way in proving his worth when the going gets tough.

kar·ma

noun 1. Hinduism, Buddhism . action, seen as bringing upon oneself inevitable results, good or bad, either in this life or in a reincarnation.

yes...let's ignore the people who invented the word and concept. they don't know what they are talking about. much like how Americans say harakiri while the Japanese use Seppuku. Americans tend to bastardize words and concepts

Brees was an all pro QB before Payton and has become a first ballot HOFer since. Is this what you were trying to communicate?

Brees was all-pro in 2006, the same year Payton and he hooked up in New Orleans.

He was a ProBowl QB before that, but thats just because he played in a different conference than Mike Vick.

It's just like the word theory in a science context or in a causal conversation- two entirely different meanings, both are valid. Same here- yes, you are correct in what the word meant originally, but the causal usage has become so commonplace that it has become the definition.

You can insist on the original definition being followed, you won't get much help from anyone; and it's just silly to say people are using it incorrectly when they are using the word in the commonly defined manner.
