Rave
Emmitt says the lack of balance on offense. The inability to run the ball. He says Romo shouldnt throw the ball more than 30-35 times a game. (He also said the only QBs that can win without being balanced are Rodgers, Brees, Manning, and Brady)Jamie Dukes says execution (Romo, Garrett, and the pieces around them).Another said the inconsistency of Romo. What do you guys think? REV.2000
I DON'T SEE A WHOLE LOT WRONG WITH THE COWBOYS.IF YOU'RE SETTING THE STANDARD BY COMPARING THEM TO OTHER COWBOY TEAMS THEN MAYBE. THESECURRENT COWBOYS PLAY WELL ENOUGH TO WIN. ITSTHAT KNACK OF PUSHING THAT "SELF-DESTRUCT" BUTTON,THATS KILLING THEM. A LITTLE OF ALL THE REASONS GIVENIS KEEPING THEM FROM DOMINATING. Dez drops balls, Austin disappears in games, Romo is turning over the ball, and Garrett cant call the end of a game to save his life.

JabooAlwaysWins
They need a clean slate. It's like every year is Superbowl year for them with high expectations and they just end up self-destructing. Ya'll need 3-5 years of rebuilding the franchise. I could go through knowing we suck easier than being mediocre. Winning a Super Bowl or getting close shows you are almost there, when you lose every game you get a high draft pick to help with the future, but when youre in the middle there is nothing to look forward to. A lot of people wont understand that, but thats how I feel. We arent bad enough to get one of the elite athletes at the top of the draft, but we werent good enough to even sniff the Super Bowl. To me, its like being in purgatory. Ive been stuck there for the last 9 years, going on 10 (or so it looks).

I DON'T THINK THIS COACH HAS THAT MUCHLEWAY. I THINK HE'D HAVE TO HAVE THE APPROVAL OF JERRY. ANDJERRY AIN'T GOING TO BENCH ANY PLAYERS HE LIKES, I DON'T CAREWHAT THEY'RE DOING WRONG ON THE FIELD. JERRY (you can"t tell me nothing) JONES.Im sick of people (even myself) saying we cant afford to bench players. We are 3-4, its not like these guys are winning every game as it is. Yes, most our back ups arent as good as our starters, but those guys need to know that the bench is an option. Its when players realize that there is no consequence for their actions that you get the play that you see from the Cowboys.

TAKE CONSEQUENCES OUT OF ANY JOB AND PRODUCTIVITY WILL DROP. CONSEQUENCES ISA MOTIVATOR IN ITSELF.Doug Free and Tyron Smith lead the league in false starts and penalties as a whole. Ive been waiting to see if Garrett attacks this problem or lets it continue. Neither had a false start on Sunday (that I remember). So thats a start, but if it shows its head again they would be the first to go to the bench IMO.
Xyfiel
Many reasons but to avoid a 30 minute post, they need a true leader, a Ray Lewis type.Three things a team needs for consistent performance:Talent - checkOn field leadership - who?Coaching - imo good enoughPointing fingers and getting rid of above average QB and coaching isn't going to solve the leadership problem. Look at the Pats, Falcons, Saints, Giants, Steelers, Bears, Ravens, and Packers, they have all of those three. As an outsider, I can name 2-3 players on all of those teams who are leaders, I can't name one for Dallas. For more information about arousal and performance read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yerkes%E2%80%93Dodson_lawLack of motivation results in lower performance, and too much arousal does as well. On field leadership knows the players and can give the right amount of motivation to each to optimally perform.
Rave
The fanbase won't allow a rebuild. The cowboys are in year 2 of a 3 year re-tooling and fans are in an uproar. Most people expected 8-8 coming into the season. And then they win a game. All that preseason talk was out the window.IMO the blame is placed solely at the offensive players feet.Injuries have played a role, but it just seems like they aren't having any fun playing the game and are pressing to play well.Going forward I still see this as an 8-8 / 9-7 squad that will go into the off season looking to add pieces to the line on both sides ofthe ball and maybe a running back (if the right one is available). The cowboys have had a tough start to the season, but after this game the only have 1 or 2 games against a team that currently has a winning record. But with this team any game is an adventure.GO COWBOYSI think the fanbase is pissed because of the tease that week 1 was....then came weeks 2-8 Edited October 31, 2012 by Rave
Rave
Indeed that game was a tease, but one game should case objectivity to be lost. They beat the giants, but it was a game the cowboys have had circled on their calendar all off season. And that shouldn't of been forgotten. So its reasonable to think they can get up for one game, and not expect them to get up for the other 14?
