Something To Think About

A lot of the talking heads are pointing out that the Falcons have beaten teams with a poor record thus far in the season. The Falcons could have played these teams instead of one of the games these teams won and if they won them all, the record would still be against teams with a poor record:

Packers

Saints

Giants (would be .500)

SF (would be .500)

Cowboys

Eagles

Would it make any difference?

Even if we've had an "easy" schedule which relatively I must say we have, thus far, we've taken advantage and are 6-0. Saints have had easily the softest schedule and they're 1-4.

The opponents we've faced have a combined record of 12-22. Minus falcons games they're 12-16. That's a 43% winning percentage in games that don't involve us.

That ranks 25th compared to the rest of the league.

01. Cowboys 70%

02. Packers 63%

03. Jaguars 61%

04. Rams 61%

Broncos 61%

06. Patriots 60%

07. 49ers 59%

08. Jets 57%

Redskins 57%

10. Cardinals 57%

11. Panthers 57%

12. Dolphins 55%

13. Raiders 54%

Titans 54%

Eagles 54%

Chiefs 54%

17. Browns 53%

18. Colts 52%

19. Lions 52%

20. Seahawks 50%

21. Texans 48%

22. Bears 45%

23. Vikings 44%

24. Bills 43%

25. Falcons 43%

26. Ravens 41%

27. Giants 41%

28. Chargers 38%

Bengals 38%

30. Steelers 38%

31. Buccaneers 35%

32. Saints 29%

This is just through 6 weeks and our % will most likely rise as the season progresses and we get to play more teams with good records. We just need to keep winning.
