Lucky_Tom
A baiting post in the thread about TG maybe/maybe not retiring next year suggesting that Ryan's passer rating would drop by 40 points if TG retires actually piqued my curiosity, so I decided to actually look at Ryan's rating by receiver this year:Roddy White - 126.3Tony Gonzalez - 120.6Jacquizz Rodgers - 119.0Michael Turner - 101.8Julio Jones - 97.5Jason Snelling - 85.7Michael Palmer - 81.3Harry Douglas - 62.5Tommy Gallarda - 42.4Hawley - 39.6I don't think anything really stands out that doesn't pass the eyeball test (i.e. passes to Roddy and TG = good, passes to HD = bad, passes to JJ = solid but room for improvement), but I guess it's interesting to see the numbers. Aftermath
I don't think passes to HD are bad, the pick was all on Ryan. I'd really like to see HD get involved in the gameplan a bit more, I understand that he is often 4th or 5th read on the progression but it isn't that hard to design a few plays designed to get him the ball. The more we take advantage of all of our weapons the better off we will be on offense.

MattM12
expect Hawley's to improve by the end of the year to 100+jokes aside, he'll get a shot to snag one in the end zone, and he'll catch it
blizzard_falcon
Wasn't Ryan trying to throw to Douglas when he threw the ball right to Kerrigan on Sunday? That's probably one reason HD's rating is so low.

paulitik
Kerrigan's Pick 6 play was a fluke. He batted the ball and hackeysacked it into an INT. That dude can jump. You just don't expect a DLman to have ups like that. You just have to let that go and be aware of it later.
Finally
I don't think this answers what was implied. I think what was implied is that Tony G is hard to defend and if he is not out there getting himself open where is the ball going to go?
