Why The Nfc South Is The Most Hated Division In Football

Found this article on yahoo sports regarding our division.

Some elementary schools in England recently banned students from making best friends.

In the NFL world a "no best friends" policy would not have any impact on the NFC South right now.

Through four weeks it has become increasingly clear: Nobody likes the NFC South.

In fact, a lot of NFL fans despise the players and coaches of the NFC South. As a Carolina Panthers fan, I understand why.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Greg "The Bully" Schiano

Rookie head coach Greg Schiano managed to become the league's most hated coach just two games into his NFL career.

In Week 2 the Buccaneers were losing 41-34 in the final seconds to the New York Giants as Eli Manning went under center in the victory formation. When the ball was snapped the Bucs' defenders unexpectedly blew up the Giants' offensive line trying to force a fumble, nearly injuring Giants players.

After the game New York's coach Tom Coughlin angrily lit into Schiano for his controversial tactic.

Yahoo's Michael Silver then wrote this excellent, jaw-dropping article about Schinao's tenure as head coach at Rutgers before taking the Tampa Bay job. Some of the words used to describe Schiano are "bully", "domineering", "disrespectful", "rude", "condescending", "hypocrite" - and that's just in the first half of Silver's article.

Tampa Bay is 1-3 with a bully for a head coach.

It's hard to like this year's Bucs.

New Orleans Saints - Scandalous and Winless

I am not going to bore you with the details of the Saints' bounty scandal.

You can read about it here in case you have been living on the moon and have not heard about the pay-for-injury program that resulted in the suspension of numerous Saints coaches and players.

To add insult to iniquity, the Saints are 0-4 thus far, making New Orleans the NFL's only winless team.

The combination of scandal and the NFL's worst record make New Orleans hard to like.

Carolina Panthers - Cam Newton, Lightning Rod

Cam Newton is seemingly doing everything possible to make NFL fans dislike him.

With the Panthers sitting at 1-3, Newton has managed to annoy even his biggest supporters - his Panther teammates and Carolina fans like me.

When the Panthers are losing, he sulks.

When the Panthers are getting blown out but Newton scores a touchdown, he joyfully celebrates.

When he can seal a win against the Atlanta Falcons, he fumbles.

A lot of NFL fans disliked Cam Newton to begin with. This year the anti-Cam bandwagon is gaining speed due to his frustrating behavior and Carolina's losing ways.

Terrible Football

If not for the Atlanta Falcons' 4-0 record and Super Bowl-caliber play, there would be nothing redeeming about the quality (using that term loosely) of football on display in the NFC South.

The Buccaneers, Saints, and Panthers are a combined 2-10 with their only victories coming from playing one another.

Tampa Bay, New Orleans, and Carolina are 0-7 against non-NFC South opponents.

Scandal, unprofessionalism, bad attitudes, and poor play have made the NFC South the most unlikeable division in the NFL.

If the NFL released an England-style "no best friends" policy, the NFC South would look around, shrug its shoulders, and mutter "who cares?" as it sits in the cafeteria, eating lunch, all alone.

Yahoo sports articles are almost always laughable. I think they just just let people off the street write them.

When did the Browns win a game?

OK i see that is a contributor article. Thats where they just publish anything some moron types up.
