RYNE
With all of the buzz surrounding Peyton Manning last week after he played so good as well as the buzz Matt Ryan got I really think this is a big opportunity for both Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons to take the next step. If Matt Ryan goes out Monday night and outplays Peyton Manning and brings home the victory that is going to go a very long way in this teams confidence and momentum. If we come out flat and get rolled I think its going to really set us back. I know its so early in the season, and it is a non-conference foe but I really feel like this game is huge. I hope we handle our business
Miller2Rison
if we lose we need to at least have a good showing

SwampyMux12
I really feel like Pittsburgh's defense is a shadow of it's former self, and with the speed we have on that side of the ball I think this matchup will give the Bronco's offense more trouble than Pitt did. If we can play offensively like we did Sunday, the Broncos are going to have to press to keep up, and with our speed and aggression we should be able to force some turnovers. RYNE
I agree Miller2Rison. Idk I just think this one is huge. Grimes going down kinda stacked the deck against us as well. I think we can definitely win, but the D is going to have to show up all 4 qtrs. I know we will score
NOVAFalconFan
Last year the Giants lost to the Redskins 28-14 on opening weekend and got blown out by the Saints on MNF. We would be fine if we lost, but I agree that I would like to see us make a statement.

So win or lose, no setback and no unstoppable dash to the post season from here, because of this game's outcome.
lee sunset
The statement games come in January.Yup. Has already won the big, nationally televised games during the regular season (Eagles, Ravens). Now he needs to win in post-season... shockerfalcon
I agree this game is huge. Imho it's the biggest game of the TD, Smitty, Ryan era. Finally this team has generated some hype, not from catchphrases like "more explosive" or from free agent pick ups, but from their play on the field. There is no doubt this is a defining moment in falcons history where the world will see if we are just a good team or legitimate Super Bowl contenders. We fans feel like we are contenders, this team feels like it's a contender all that is left is to go out there Monday night and serve notice to the whole world that the Atlanta Falcons are the real deal. Go out there and leave no doubt that they won the game not that Manning lost it. Rise up Falcons and show the world what you and the whole Falcon Nation knows. That you have your sights on a championship and you're coming for it.
Carl927
This internationally-televised game tells the world who the Falcons are as an offense this year. I consider that to be a statement. I hope that statement is loud and clear.Win or lose: Play hard and keep coming. No going backwards this year.
MrJay
we need a MLB and we need a starting RB workhorse, once we get those 2 we will dominate

No going backwards this year.Exactly, sure we have won in primetime before and yes it's way early in the season, but to me this game is about proving to all the critics and naysayers that this is not the same Ol falcons. That this isn't the team that's gonna squeak out 10-12 wins beating up on the bottom feeders only to fold under against the better teams. A win on Monday night will go along way routers changing the perception of this team.
metatron360
A win on Monday will boost marketabiliy, a loss will not be setback in the least people will just keep saying we are better than avg but not elite yet. I think we win this one and the defense will determine by how much.

jbird84
Considering the hype surrounding Denver and the predictions about them winning a championship this is primetime its the home opener against none other than Peyton Manning and The Broncos this game is huge I will be locked in to this game like nobody's business I know we gotta play the game but I am confident we will win this game we are going to go toe to toe and punch for punch against one of the best and we are going to pull out all the stops show up and show out in front of the world.
