Try to recall the Monday night game against New Orleans at our house 2 years ago. Till this day I have never seen our defense perform as well as that day. The pressure that they were getting on Brees was remarkable. Chris Owens was blitzing off the edge and the Aints did not have an answer for his speed. I am excited to see if Nolan will let Owens loose and put pressure on Manning.

I know he got torched in the playoff against GB but hopefully the kid can improve. Corner's take a LONG time to develop in this league. Grimes would get consistently burned until he finally put it all together and started to become a lockdown corner. There is no doubt that Owens is fast, for God sake, he ran down Percy Harvin. However if he finally learned how to cover then we can potentially have a very minimal effect for the loss of Grimes.

Call me a homer, but my gut feeling is that this guy is ready to go and become the pleasent suprise of this season.

Well I'm rooting for him while he is here. He obviously has the Athletic talent to be a great CB maybe Nolan can get him to that level.

I was proud of him last year running down that potential TD and basically saving our playoff hopes. He has heart and has been through the ringer he's been exposed and embarrassed and he is still here trying. I hope it all clicks with him and he steps up.

I have to say I love the way we play on the national stage, I think we always play hard and its close everytime, this game should be one of the best of the season.

The national stage is where we lay an egg half the time. I remember TNF against the Ravens and then the Saints on MNF . That is about it.

I was disgusted that he had to even do that because we let the Vikings back into the game.

Just another example of why I wasn't sad to see BVG leave.

Wish I was confident like you. Owens left a bad taste in my mouth last time he played a primetime game, I just don't see him playing all that great. The thought of Owens playing scares the he// out of me.

Well if anyone can get something out of Owens it's Nolan. This is pretty much his last year to show that he is worth keeping on the squad. If he lays an egg, than that's his job. If Nolan can't get you going, nobody can.
