OC
Owens??Yall just have no clue about Peyton Manning at all do ya.Well do ya........Punks.Lemme tell ya how this will go down.Peyton will attack Owens dirrectly and in directly. He will also run multiple series of plays over 2 quaters of playthat will set the stage for a burn. There will be 2 td's that will come as a result of direct attacks on OwensThere will be 2 td's that will come from the indirect attacks on Owens. There will be 1 TD from an all out Burn Notice. There will be a TD against the other DB's and another TD from Rushing. That is 42 pointsThe only way for us to counter is to Score 42 points and keep Manning on the freaking bench.Manning has more than enough game film on us and Owens.Best be hoping that some ultra hot chick flashes her ta tas and givesManning a case of whuplash, otherwise if we do not score 45 then itsbuckwheats for us. OC
I want to see owens on a few corner blitzes with his speed!!!I'd rather Dunta blitz, as sending Owens hasn't worked too well for us.
Francis York Morgan
In all fairness, I was EXTREMELY high on him as a rookie. If he can just get back to that form...
Dem Birds
I watched Owens interview on AF.com, he looked giddy. That's just what he sounds like. He's got the most giddy voice in the NFL haha
Karst41
Im tellin yall now, because I have followed Peyton pretty much his entire career, and what I have said is what he does best.Ryan and Co. will have to rack up the points until the phat lady sings. If I am wrong, I will come in here and eat a big steamy pile o crow Tuesday morningand let you all have at. Until then, Make that a size 30 dress Gritz, and dont forget the fishnets.

atlbaby
Owens has been to been to counseling for the abuse he suffered two years ago in the GB game. It just so happen the counseling came two years later and his counselor, Mike Nolan is giving him a fresh start. Nolan will have him ready or else he wouldn't be his patient (4th corner)
freakyfalcon
If Owens is playing nickel, maybe they will go with an aggressive style and have him jam the slot receiver at the LOS. That will throw Manning's timing off. Owens is pretty physical.
JRid
Does anyone else find it odd that we haven't heard anything about Owens getting fined or suspended for throwing a punch? I certainly don't want that to happen, but I thought something would happen. I assume we would have heard something by now though.Does anyone have any insight on the situation? I can't remember what they usually do when someone throws a punch. I think normally they would have been ejected when it happened and since neither player was maybe it slipped under the radar. delaigle
Chris Owens is expected to step in as the Falcons' nickel corner.Brent Grimes' season-ending injury will move Dunta Robinson out to right corner, opposite Asante Samuel. Owens, a fringe player and special teamer during his three-plus years in Atlanta, is going to get attacked in three-wide sets. His first test comes against Peyton Manning and the Broncos this week.If I remember correctly Robinson and Owens were the starting CB in the NYG playoff gameAlso Grimes and Robinson were the starters and when Samuel came it he took Robinson's position and Robinson slide to the slot.I think they will still slide Robinson to the slot and Owens will take his place on the outside. falcons007
Don't put Owens in the slot, most of the folks hate him for the GB debacle. But Owens was good last year and was the best CB in the playoffs while the fan favorite Turkey Franks and Sanders were abused by Eli Manning. I hope Nolan Slides Dunta inside and keeps Owens outside. falcons007
If I remember correctly Robinson and Owens were the starting CB in the NYG playoff gameThats correct, Owens covered Victor Cruz and Nicks very well with his speed. Now if only Franks had some beef and not been a Turkey Franks against the Giants.

I guess the league overlooked it because Owens is not a repeat offender or Commish is busy with Bounty gate stuff.
Corporal Clegg
Well our secondary is the same + Asante when compared to the Giants game. Our defense did not break down until later in the 3rd QTR that game, our offense was definitely the problem.Plus we got Nolan now. So I'm not all that worried. Falcons_own_nfc_south
I don't think Nolan would put Robinson outside when Owens is in the game. Because Robinson spent whole off-season, training camp, pre-season there and learning Nolan system....I think robinson plays outside CB but slide in when Owens comes on the field

FlyDirty
Manning at his past would even make Revis look like Crisp out there. I have a funny feeling Owens will come with game and put up a valiant fight. Hope so at least!
