3 Espn Analysts keep saying that 69% Of all teams that win week 1 make the playoffs...lets look at that.

Afc only had 6 Winners the first week, hmmm.

Jets, New England - east

Houston - south

Denver - west

waiting out come of Oakland/San Diego and Cincinnati/Baltimore games.

Nfc had 10 teams win

Dallas, Washington, Philadelphia - east

Detroit, Chicago, Minnesota - north

Tampa Bay, Atlanta - south

Arizona, San Francisco - west

considering the stat they gave us, 69%, and it holds true, 11 first win teams are going to make the playoffs, who are they going to be???

My picks are based on first weeks performance...

AFC....New England, Houston, Denver, Baltimore - divisions - wild cards are Kansas City and Jets.

NFC....Dallas, Chicago, Atlanta, San Francisco- divisions - wild cards are Washington and Tampa Bay

Bodes well for us still, yes?

I'm happy about the routing yesterday but it the stat is closer to 53% it's pretty meaningless. Every year it seems difficult to predict what teams will do well until around week 3 or so. The Falcons have some gaping holes on the D side but I am hoping that is a matter of Nolan making adjustments.

Well, it looks like the 69% is out the window. Dallas and Washington are done. Tampa Bay is done. It looks like possible going to be this...if all things hold true...

NFC - San Francisco, Atlanta, Minnesota, New York Giants - divisions. wild cards are Arizona and Chicago.

AFC - Houston, Denver, Baltimore, New England - divisions. wild cards are Cincinnati and San Diego.

That looks closer. less than 50% of the first weeks winners might make it....

Why are folks so willing to crown the Eagles, fear the Eagles, and respect the Eagles. You are what your record says you are. They have to get consistency or they will never be SB threat. They have a guy at QB who can kill and destroy like no other any given week, but will NEVER put 3 games together against playoff level competition.

Invite the Eagles over to watch the wild card round with you. They will be available. They are the 3rd best team in their division. Personally, I can't wait to play them. They will win if they put it all together. They almost never put it all together. Never has any team been as consistent at adding up to less than the sum of their parts. How you can not win with their skill boggles the mind. However, they are really good at not winning with skill. They have made it an art form.
