HASHBROWN3
I would expect manning to say that. he's coming to play and is in the film room as we speak.. in fact, i wouldnt be surprised if he wasnt studying the falcons after he finished up last night... Tuggle'2
Yeah...The Dome will be sick! Would you want the ball first or play defense first?Id defer and let the crowd blow up maybe get him off his game.
Theyhateme : )
Even so, it was the right thing to say. Usually good QB's say something similar to take a humble approach.....But...why even mention the next week's opponent if not asked (if that was the case)?Id defer and let the crowd blow up maybe get him off his game.LOLOL...yeah!! MilleniumFalcon
Yeah, he wasn't asked, he was just talking to Michelle Tafoya and out of the blue said I was watching Atlanta earlier today and they looked awesome.

babybanks80
But...why even mention the next week's opponent if not asked (if that was the case)?Because its mental, it seems like it takes attention off yourself. Even though the media don't see it that way. Peyton said it to take a back seat to the game itself. He is a professional veteran, he know how to work the media.LOLOL...yeah!! babybanks80
Because its all mental, he is taking a back seat to the upcoming game. He is a seasoned vet, he know how to work the media ( even though the media won't fall for it). He knows how big the next game is, ITS MONDAY NIGHT. Theyhateme : )
That's an interesting thought. One that I can imagine. It's interesting that Manning was watching the Falcons game prior to their game.

It's interesting that Manning was watching the Falcons game prior to their game. Not surprising. We were playing a team that he has to face off against twice this season, and he plays us next week. He SHOULD have been watching our game.

Its good PR, let me talk about the opposing team so the limelight is not all on me, it won't work but have to see what he trying to do

He said that he watched the Falcons. In fact, I've never heard a QB volunteer such information. What I gathered from the comment is he was watching the Birds before his game...LOL..
