3 Questions For The Mb

I won't respond to 1 and 3 cause only dummies ever hated Ryan and didn't dig the trade.

As for Turner its the same ole story. It will take a bunch of carries for him to get his big one. This week he didn't get much. We went with a pass heavy attack. Quiz was much better today, but regardless of what people think Turner is more of a threat to break a big one than Quiz IMO.

I have no clue what's up with Turner. It's almost like he pissed off Koetter! I understand the integration of Quiz. But I thought for sure that Turner would get the call when we had the ball on the 3; and after we had a comfortable lead.

I'm kinda wondering why we didn't just trade him and draft a more versatile rb that Koetter likes, if he's going to be used so sparingly.

On the flip side I thought we should have moved on from Turner once MM left. Check my old posts:)

That was pretty much Turners first match of ther season. KC defense was stout enough on the run but who knows next week he may be a BEAST and all this curiosity as to whether he's still grade A material will disappear.

Sub note I am more keen for him to be fresh and dynamic come January when teams maybe tired.

Clark I do believe that Turner still has big play ability. Prolly more than Quiz. Quiz to me is that whitehead or Kevin Faulk type. A playmaker and versatile, but not a Barry sanders type. I do think that Koetter wants a back that can catch. All his Jax teams had backs that could catch. Taylor, Jones,MJD etc..

It's possible. It just shocked me to see 11 carries for 32 yards. Particularly in short yardage and when we had a lead. IMO I think Turner is a rhythm guy and is gonna have a hard time being effective in a platoon. That said I don't like his lack of hands and think we should have either drafted a versatile rb or signed someone like Bush or the law firm

Yeah for sure. If our game plan is going to look like this every week then Turner is going to be more and more fizzled out of the offense. I'm fine with Quiz playing more because he will rarely lose yardage hiding behind our lineman on running plays. He will be more consistent with the 4-5 yard gains and like you said, the receptions.

But I don't think Quiz has game breaking speed and Turner doesn't neccesarily either but if he finds that one hole to get him in the 2nd level then he definitely overmatches Quiz in that area.

1) still hate for Matt Ryan?

2) What the hecks wrong with Turner?

3) Still not digging the Julio Trade?

1) Not hate. Ryan played great and even looked like a running threat a few times. Tempering that is KC missing best pass rusher and CB. Guys were wide open all day.

2) Turner just doesn't seem to be getting any holes

3) Love the player - hate the cost

Yup I agree with you 100%. The nice thing about Julio, tony, HD and Roddy is that not having a breakaway back isn't a killer. Like you said quiz doesn't get negative yardage and is a fine receiver. He provides enough tp make play action work. I could easily see Snelling as he gets healthy getting more touches. But hey maybe Turner will find his groove. He does have that 2nd level explosion

I nearly died laughing watching the kicker almost catch Quiz on that kr lol

Yup. #3 isn't so bad anymore.

I think Ryan has definitely improved. Not quite elite (unless he keeps this up) but definitely franchise QBS type play the last couple of years.

The turner thing simply perplexes me

1. Never hated Ryan. Just wanted him to play to his potential. Good start for the season.

2. Old and a lot slower. Needs massive holes for big runs.

3. Always liked the Julio trade.
