OK that makes no sense whatsoever. Reagan is a hero to most tea partiers

Was he a hero when he raised taxes several times?

Was he a hero when he gave "amnesty" to millions of illegal immigrants?

Was he a hero when he increased the deficit through increased spending (on defense)?

Is that the hero that the Tea Party wants to promote?

Kind of curious how crack got distributed so quickly to the black community...

oh and lets not forget the 100x to 1x time you would spend in jail for crack to cocaine because there was this silly thought that it is more addictive... so longer jail times....

hah its only like 17x to 1x now lol!

Trying to explain institutional racism to someone who frequents commieblasters is like trying to teach particle physics to a toddler.

yup because most people who tout him gloss over little things like facts when it comes to him.

They look at speeches and not what actually happened.

For example I have seen Clown Shoes McGee (Stobby) make reference when Ronnie said that Government is the problem not the solution.

Yet He ( like normal) "conveniently" forgot the pesky little fact that while Ronnie was talking to talk about government being too big...he was actually walking a walk that TRIPLED the size of the government.

The dietifacation ( not a real word but it sounds good) of Reagan by the right is one of the single most perplexing things ever.

Steve knows exactly what you mean. Like most Neo-Cons, when the truth comes out about Reagan, he's a staunch proponent of "deny, deny, deny."

What I am learning about debating someone is once you use a label them in such a way, they can just disregard the argument and attack the neo con part. Now I assume he is going to avoid those truths about Reagan and respond to the neo con part rather than defend his position on reagan.

Most people only like to validate their beliefs. They will not listen or attempt to have their thought process challenged. This is why I loath both MSNBC and FOXNEWS.... They only validate their viewers beliefs and don't allow them to truly hear the other side of the debate. Then they try to tell someone their one sided view and wonder why people think they cannot think for themselves.

Funny that you nailed Steve on the video thing. Instead of addressing the facts of Reagan's record, he posts pretty speeches of things that Reagan said.

Ironic, given his criticisms of Obama.

Reagan had a democratic congress for much of his time as president so had to make compromises to get ish done. See....Clinton and Reagan were both able to get ish done even though the opposing party controlled congress. Something this president can't do when only 1 house is controlled by the opposing party. Because he can't effectively reach across the isle like Reagan or Clinton could. It's called leadership.

As for the defense spending, it pretty much killed the Soviet Union so it was a very good thing.

That's wrong. The problem is as follows..... Obama/Dems reach across the aisle...Republicans turn them down and move their positions further to the extreme right making the aisle wider. And as the Dems continue to reach out they have to reach further and further just to reach to GOP which is more and more becoming a group that is dominated by the extreme fringe of right wingers.

You can only reach out so far before you lose your balance and fall down. Cantor, McConnell, Rand Paul, and our very own Jim DeMint are ONLY concerned with having things their way, and their way only. Cooperation and bi-partisanship are dirty words to that sect of Republicans, no doubt. Once a GOP'er does decide to reach out to the Dems the Jackals of the Republican party turn on their own and rip the flesh from their bones.
