First thing you'll need is an external HD, CPU tower, and a fiberwire or video capture system. (around $30 at best buys). Connect PS3 to CPU using fiberwire or VCS. Connect TV to video outputs of CPU. When the game comes on turn on the CPU leave PS3 off and select record on program that comes with VCS. If you use a fiberwire it'll sync with WMP. Switch input settings on tv to game, turn on playstation. Now everything on PS3 is being recorded. Save all recordings to External HD to prevent CPU from crashing or freezing during recording. Good Luck

I called DirecTv about a week or so ago to inquire about this and they're Sunday Max because I can't actually get DirecTv in HD because I have so many trees in my yard. I was going to split the cost with a friend who has so that I can at least watch games through my laptop/tv combo when I want to.

In any case, I asked the sales guy and he said that they were going to start selling it for the PS3 the first week of the season but that it is not available yet. I think they're trying to get as many people committed for 2 years as possible before they announce that you don't need to have Directv to get the Sunday Ticket.

$349 is a rip. if you have directv just pay the $199 and record it on dvr if ya have one

$349 was last year's price, They haven't announced this years as far as I know. Direct TV had to drop the price due to the Thursday games. I would assume they'd do the same with the app. If not, i'll probably just go to the sports bar. $200 is fair, but $350 when we have 4 primetime games, and I'm going to a game doesn't make sense for me.

how is the quality of the streaming on PS3?

Pretty good really, as long as you're not uploading a ton of pictures or video on another computer. My wife used to put videos on youtube of our kid so people in our family could watch them. That was the only time that the quality suffered. You don't need Fiberwire either. If you're like 99.9% of PS3 owners, the ethernet coming out of your router is good enough.

You could always do what I did. I have a friend who already had Sunday ticket. I paid him the difference between the regular Sunday ticket and the max. That way I could just play it off my ps3.

what is the difference between the regular and the max? I do believe I will go this route
