Rambler
I cant help but to get a kick out of this. At first I thought it was because I was deranged for delighting in other peoples misery but then I realized that my motives aren`t so sinister after all. The sooner we realize that as communities, as States, and as a Nation that we can no longer accept spending more than we take in, the better off we will all be in the long run.I guess raising taxes and borrowing more money is no longer an option for these cities. Pity.http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-0711-san-bernardino-20120711,0,5646419.story
Psychic Gibbon
Sad to see, but I would be lying if I said I didn't enjoy watching the bubble burst for my Californian friends who think their state's **** doesn't stink.

Psychic Gibbon
I'd like to know what 'major entitlement programs' means.Social security is not an entitlement.Every state employee being guaranteed a $500,000 pension which they didn't have to pay into could be considered a major entitlement program. kicker
eatcorn, I know you might not respect the source, but here is a pretty good piece on the entitlement of Social Security.http://www.americanthinker.com/2011/03/the_entitlement_lie_a_conserva.html
Boogie Man
we can argue about semantics or agree that the situation is is not good and do something about itWe could raise the minimum age at which the gov't begins repaying it's citizens to 103. That'd save some money
