Big Bubba
1. Stewart3. Turner7. PT9. Dwillhttp://www.profootba...elusive-rating/Mr. ElusiveJonathan Stewart tops the list over the past three seasons, overtaking his teammate since the last time we ran the numbers on the back of another fantastic season in 2011. Stewart might be one of the best backs in football, but the Panthers are determined to stick with a running back by committee approach. They are likely to continue to include Cam Newton as a rushing threat at quarterback, and Stewart’s opportunities to carry the football are thus likely to remain capped. With the touches he is given there is no better back in the league, and it would be extremely interesting to see if that performance would be maintained over a workhorse-type load. The WorkhorsesWhile Stewart and Jackson have been impressive players with the workload they’ve had, there are a few players who have been able to maintain top ratings despite the massive workload of a featured back. Michael Turner and Adrian Peterson are the third- and fourth-ranked players over the past three seasons, each having notched 145+ missed tackles and over 2,400 yards after contact.Turner’s mark of 2.9 yards per carry after contact leads the league over that time and the numbers both players have maintained despite the volume of touches is truly remarkable. While the NFL might be steering away from workhorse running backs towards a system where backfields are formed from committee, Peterson and Turner are proving that it is still possible for a feature back to be extremely effective and tough to bring down while carrying the full load. They are the exceptions to the rule and the Falcons have noted that they are going to lessen Turner’s carries this season as they shift to a more pass-oriented offense. Mr. Right
LeSean McCoy is so elusive that he doesn't even get yards after contact because no one touches him. That's why he's ranked so low.It will be a travesty if he doesn't make it to the HOF. Edited July 2, 2012 by Mr. Right
CraigSmackDaddy
Our own Jason Snelling is at # 8. Based off the numbers he would have almost as many as Turner if he had the same amount of carries Edited July 2, 2012 by CraigSmackDaddy

Guest Negatorris
I wouldn't call Turner elusive because he isn't hard to find. Just hard to stop.

Homer Troll Slayer
slow down bruh, dude only played 3 seasonsIts no coincidence that vick led teams usually have league leading rbs. His presence opens up holes for the running game unlike some qbs whose lack of threat to a defense makes it harder on their rbs. Turner should be applauded for doing as well as he has with defenses mainly keying in on stopping him.

He wouldnt crack the top 5 in minny or atl. (teams with great rbs but qbs who dont intimidate defenses whatsoever.) (teams with great rbs but qbs who dont intimidate defenses whatsoever.)McCoy almost had as many rushing TD's as Vick had passing TD's. Maybe they should run more and pass less in Philly. Maybe we traded 5 picks for the wrong player.

In 07 we changed to a power run team and we aren't built for it which is why we couldn't even gain a single TD running the ball....

You're pointing out stats as if it translated to something for Carolina, or the fact that Lesean McCoy is running willy nilly for the Eagles is only because Vick is the QB, when he had one less rushing TD than Vick had passing TD's with all those weapons. Lol where did i say that? Youre reaching son. All i know is vick cam and flacco are all respected and feared by their peers. vick was the 2nd best qb in 2010 and mvp runner up behind brady. ryans never had a season Good enough to be in consideration for mvp. The eagles will bounce back this year, they just needed time to jel after last offseasons turmoiL. Funny vick didnt have near as much trouble as ryan vs the same giants team. In fact i believe he was 2-0 vs them last year. Noodle arm couldnt keep his bra buttoned long enough to make a play with a line that wasnt any worse than eli's or vick's.
