The Atlanta Falcons will hold its fifth annual team scrimmage this year at Peachtree Ridge High School in Suwanee, Ga. "Kia Motors Friday Night Lights" will take place on Friday, Aug. 3. The Falcons will take the field at 6:45 p.m. with gates opening at 6 p.m.

"Kia Motors Friday Night Lights" is open to the public and admission is free. This grassroots event includes a fan fest with interactive inflatable games, sponsor activation, a post event autograph session and a spectacular fireworks show. During the live scrimmage, several players including the Falcons quarterbacks, and certain position players will be mic'd so fans can get an "under the helmet look" at the action on the field.

The Falcons have traveled from their Flowery Branch facility during training camp to conduct "Friday Night Lights" scrimmages at Norcross High School in 2011, North Gwinnett High School in 2010, Brookwood High School in 2009 and Mill Creek High in 2008. Each of the previous four scrimmages have been played in front of capacity crowds.

"Kia Motors Friday Night Lights is a great event that has grown throughout the years and gives our fans a chance to get an up close and personal experience with our team as we prepare for the 2012 season," Falcons Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing Jim Smith said.  "We truly appreciate the tremendous support from each community we have gone to since the beginning of the event."

"Kia Motors and the Atlanta Area Kia dealers are honored to be the title partner of the 5th annual Kia Motors Friday Night Lights event," said Percy Vaughn, Executive Director, Southern Region Operations of Kia Motors America, Inc. "This free open to the public Falcons scrimmage is such a positive, grassroots event and it always brings excitement to the local community. Along with the Atlanta Falcons, we are ready for a great start to a successful season. Kia Motors is proud to support the Atlanta Falcons in their quest to bring a championship to the State of Georgia. Let's all rise up with the Atlanta Falcons at Peachtree Ridge on August 3rd."

Roam the Dome. That was great!! I've been an STH for 15 years and that is the only time I can sit that close in the lower bowl. It was also nice they had slots set up for autographs. My only gripe is they don't account for every seat in our group.

Went to the last Roam The Dome.

The thing I took away from that one was Miko's boy Grimes taking a return to the house. Butta.

Went to the FNL last year. The Gods put up seven lightning strikes and all hail broke loose.

A big disappointment.

I've been to all FNL and its always something with these events. Thunder storm, no parking, not enough seats, fights, but I still love it. The grassroots programs allows fan who may not have the opportunity to visit flowery branch a chance to watch the Falcons practice, the money raised is donated to the school hosting the event and there's an autograph line. FNL is a great thing I got a ball signed by Abe, Grimes, Spoon, Judas, DRob, DeCoud, Babs, and Edwards. I will be at this one I have a Roddy Rookie Card I want signed, and a helmet I hope to get signed by TG.

yeah I went to the last FNL, and a ton of others.....as we all know I did not start watching until we drafted ryan. (not a bandwagoner, just being honest...I was not a fan of the old team or the coaches....once we changed at the start of 2007-2008, I really liked what I saw. then when I saw the draft I really liked it and became a fan.)

anyhow I showed up at the last FNL and remember the storms but cannot remember if we played or anything.

also has anyone heard if we will start up the roam the dome again?
