Falconsfan567
10. Veterans Stadium, Riverfront Stadium and Three Rivers Stadium. Jim Kaat once said, "Every ballpark used to be unique. Now it's like women's breasts -- if you've seen one, you've seen both." He's right, but with one slight amendment. If you saw one of these stadiums, you saw all three. Multipurpose is fine -- do we really need to build $500 million to $1 billion stadiums for the sole purpose of hosting eight NFL games a year? -- but sterile, devoid of character and artificially turfed is not. Plus, there was the biohazard of playing on fields covered in Schotzzie's droppings or Lenny Dykstra's tobacco juice.http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/page/caple-120620/the-10-worst-baseball-parks-history-gameWhat I don't understand is why those 3 always get lumped together and no one ever throws Busch Stadium and Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium in there. Busch Stadium had the artificial turf for a while too. While AFCS never had the turf it was still basically a copy of the other stadiums. All 5 stadiums were basically identical on the outside and from the sky. dmite
AFCS wasn't in the armpit if the US?
Falconsfan567
This is a pretty cool picture because you can see old AFCS and the Dome.
Falconsfan567
Wow. Look at how old this picture is. They aren't even done with doing all the parking lots yet.

Falconsfan567
I just found this picture. This is how Three Rivers Stadium was suppose to look. I guess they didn't have enough funds to do this.
