usmcdirtybird
his new number would be
Peyton
I doubt it. Keith Brooking was a very good player, but I think the way he made a gigantic azz out of himself in the 2009 Atlanta / Dallas game might have closed that door for him, if he was interested in that. Tuggle'2
Yea , that game he really made a lot of enemies.
FalconinPA
The contract would probably make it about 15 to 20 yards down field before Brookings could catch it to sign it.
hjerry
Players that sign one-day contracts are guys who share mutual love with their former organization. At this point, I'm pretty sure that he doesn't love the Falcons, and the Falcons probably feel the same way.

That about tore it if there were any last remaining ties left between him and Atlanta.

Blank is a class act. I could see him looking past all that. I mean, even though he wasn't the owner when it happened Deion had the whole, "This is MY HOUSE!" episode. ki46dinah
I said it for years while he was here....the guy is not a quality person, and its unfortunate it took his showboating for Falcon's fans to see his true colors.Ray Buchanon was a 'bag too. Gritzblitz 2.0
Brooking has always been vastly overrated. He made a bunch of tackles downfield, but he never made any plays of consequence. He doesn't belong with the likes of Nobis in the ROH. Falconsfan567
I think there is a reason the Falcons gave Sean Weatherspoon no. 56.

Peyton
Ray/Brooking were in a SB for us.Brooking wasn't exactly an instrumental player on the Super Bowl team. He was a rookie that rode the pine all year.
#1 pick™
I didn't think he is good. He was solid but overrated more than anything. Now I liked Kerney.
Duff_Man
Brooking has had a pretty nice career. I doubt that the team will do the contract thing, but a couple years down the line, he'll probably be honored in some way. The short list is probably: Brooking, Kerney, McClure, Mathis, Dunn, Oxendine.
