What do you guys think about the positions that have questions; and the roster as a whole?

I like it for the most part. A couple positions i disagree with are probably inactive all year anyway. Only 3 safeties is a gamble though. Shillinger has not really been great on ST's but hopefully he is this year.

I went with 3 safeties as well, it's obviously a gamble, but I think at a push Walls, Dunta or Franks could play that 4th safety. Mitchell can play both FS and SS, so you have flexibility.

It's pretty darn close to my 53 (http://boards.atlant...__fromsearch__1), so obviously I love it. The only thing is I counted 26 on offense making it 54 in total.

Hmm, that's strange, I counted again and it was 25. You aren't including any of the "( or _____ )" ones are you?

Edit: Haha yes our 53's are very similar.

I agree with a lot here. What I don't agree with is the number of DE's. I think either Cliff Mathews or Sidbury is running out of time and will battle for the last DE spot--or if Massaquoi doesn't perform well he will be on the practice squad. I just don't think they'll have 6 roster spots for DE when everyone is reportedly healthy at this point. Vince Manuwai will probably have that spot to provide some depth at OG.

I also agree with Beacon that a veteran safety will be added, but at the expense of Schillinger or Mitchell. Personally, I think that Schillinger won't make this team this year though. He has seemed solid on ST(nothing spectacular), but I think the Falcons would much rather have someone raw who has a chance to pan out to be special. Will Mo's contract will end after this season and he'll probably be demanding a high price; they will probably want someone who has potential to step up just in case they can't bring him back next year.

I agree that the DE number is a little high. They all need an opportunity to play, but I guess I could see putting Massaquoi or Cliff on PS.

Who would you want Manuwai to replace? Because I just don't see a guy who didn't play for an entire season (will also be 32 before start of season) coming in and beating out our 3rd rd draft pick Mike Johnson. We want to get younger on the OL, plus injuries have limited Johnson's opportunity to play. So with us only carrying 9 OL, I just don't see ole Vince making the cut, but the best guy will win the job, and I'm always in favor of that.

I'm not too sure about Safety at this point. I don't really know who we would want to bring in that we haven't already, but then again I didn't know about James Sanders either. However, I really think that Shan could hold down that 4th safety spot. He's also solid on ST.

Good picks. We need a solid 4th WR. I hope K. Cone or James Rodgers can be that guy. Weems was decent but was obviously a much better KR/PR than a WR. J. Rodgers is a guy who I look to to make plays as a 4th WR. I would like to have another big WR there too.

We also need depth at S. If Moore or Decoud go down, we are way under average at S with 2 young guys. We need a vet for depth.

I believe that with only 9 OL the guys with the most versatility will get the roster spots, I think everyone is over looking Andrew Jackson, i doubt he would start but he knows the system and he can play multiple positions.

He has played both tackle and guard in the system we are installing.
