I Had A Dream Last Night

Recommended Posts

Last night I dreamt a glorious dream. I can not recall the year, whether it is this season or a season to come. I just remember seeing, what I believe to be a newspaper, with a statement of Falcons versus Raiders in the Super Bowl. I remember smiling in my sleep. Being super happy. Ryan was the QB. wub.png

Lol nice dream. We are going to suprise a lot of people even a lot on these boards by the sounds of it this year. No more sane play on offense over and over. No more power run game all the time. No more prevent defense most the time. We had winning seasons mostly due to talent. Now that we have coaching just set back and watch. We will go far this year just watch.

Guest ¡Spot on Dtan!

I'd say, at this point and time, the Raiders have a better chance getting to the big game than do we.

....and there's a better chance of Paris Hilton winning a spelling bee than you making a good post.

Falcons vs Chiefs after beating the Saints in the playoffs would be the absolute best case scenario.

Tony G has a fantastic game smashing his old team into submission in the season finale against the Chiefs, IN New Orleans.

That would be sweet. I think if we could get the o line protecting better, we could be a dangerous team. We have offensive weapons at every position. Could cause a lot of matchup problems if Koetter uses them right.

Matty Ice, The Burner, The Rodgers Brothers, Roddy Julio and Harry, Tony G. Our skill players are insane. Add Ewing (who I think will be the NFL's primier FB in a few years) into the mix with our O-Line blocking for them. If Svitek or Baker can find consistency we will be unstoppable on O. I feel like Blalock, Konz, and Clabo are very solid. And at the one remaining spot will be either a center or guard with the competition between McClure, Manuwai, Hawley, or Johnson. One of those 4 will find a way to be consistently solid for this year. We will light up the scoreboard. And on defense, I honestly dont see a spot where I dont like who we have got. DeCoud is a little inconsistent at times, but overall he is a good player and Nicholas gets the job done. God, I am so fricken excitied for this season. 90 days until ATL vs. KC!

I'm not a dream interpreter, but I believe that I may know what this dream means. Not many people like to look into scouting reports much. despite some things not always being the case in those scouting reports, some things do be on the nose. In that scouting report, Matt Ryan game is compared to the likes of QB Rich Gannon. While Rich was also not noted for his deep ball but his strength of short to intermediate pass, the Raiders did a great job that year providing Gannon with a great supporting cast. Jerry Rice was among that cast and they helped make up for Gannon's lack of a deep ball threat by Yacing it up in space.

The Falcons have a team with a supporting cast built around Matt Ryan in 2012 like the Raiders offense was built around Rich Gannon in 2002 that went to the SB that year against the TB Bucs. The bucs were a south division team and the Falcons are a south division team. This could mean that the Falcons are finally poised to make a run because the pieces are in place on the offensive side of the ball just like it was for the Raiders in 2002. The Falcons seem to be devising a similar formula that helped to get the most out of Rich Gannon and the Raiders offense that year for Matt Ryan and the Falcons offense in 2012.

Raiders 2002 stats

#1 offense in total yards

#1 in passing yards

#18 in rushing</p>

Does this rang a bell? The talk is that Koetter is planning on using the WRs and taking advantage of getting his WRs open in space to YAC it up just like the Raiders did in 2002.

Michael Turner suggested Wednesday that the Falcons' offense may be more pass heavy in 2012 than it has been in years past.

The Falcons are implementing a more no-huddle heavy, vertical passing attack under new OC Dirk Koetter. Turner has ranked first, first, and second in the NFL in carries over his last four full seasons. "Might be a little more passing than normal, than what Falcons fans are used to," Turner said. Now 30 years old, Turner will be a player to avoid in 2012 fantasy football drafts.

Rich Gannon was the #1 QB in passing yards that year with 4,689 yards 24TDs 10ints 48 20+ passes and 8 40+ passes

His top three WR Jerry rice, tim brown, and RB charles garner had a lot of yards that year. I believe that Koetter is going to know how to get the most out of this offense. The Raiders did a lot with that offense that Koetter wants to do with Matt and this offense.

White said you can expect to see more five-receiver formations from the Falcons under Koetter.

You are some kinda crazy!!! No BS, I heard Rich Gannon's name in my dream. I did not mention it because I did not see how he related to the Falcons or the Raiders since he is out of the league. I remember waking up asking myself why Rich Gannon He is not related to the Falcons right now and I am not sure if he is working with the Raiders. Creepy!!! Excellent comparison though!
