Guest Deisel
Obama’s Third-Party HistoryNew documents shed new light on his ties to a leftist party in the 1990s. http://www.nationalr...y-stanley-kurtzOn the evening of January 11, 1996, while Mitt Romney was in the final years of his run as the head of Bain Capital Barack Obama formally joined the New Party, which was deeply hostile to the mainstream of the Democratic party and even to American capitalism. In 2008, candidate Obama deceived the American public about his potentially damaging tie to this third party. The issue remains as fresh as today’s headlines, as Romney argues that Obama is trying to move the United States toward European-style social democracy, which was precisely the New Party’s goal.In late October 2008, when I wrote here at National Review Online that Obama had been a member of the New Party, his campaign sharply denied it, calling my claim a “crackpot smear.” Fight the Smears, an official Obama-campaign website, staunchly maintained that “Barack has been a member of only one political party, the Democratic Party.” I rebutted this, but the debate was never taken up by the mainstream press.Recently obtained evidence from the updated records of Illinois ACORN at the Wisconsin Historical Society now definitively establishes that Obama was a member of the New Party. He also signed a “contract” promising to publicly support and associate himself with the New Party while in office.Barack Obama, candidate for State Senate in the 13th Legislative District, gave a statement to the membership and answered questions. He signed the New Party “Candidate Contract” and requested an endorsement from the New Party. He also joined the New Party.Consistent with this, a roster of the Chicago chapter of the New Party from early 1997 lists Obama as a member, with January 11, 1996, indicated as the date he joined....... Guest Deisel
Steve, the media will not run these stories and the left on here and else where will deny it all. What they cannot deny is the way Obama has governed, which is thru power. He seeks NO middle ground with the right nor his center left folks. He doesn't even try to appease the LEFT ie. Wisconsin and NC elections, and he rules as though he's a king. Well, this stuff is getting out and will be aired. Romney is NO McCain. Psychic Gibbon
This sounds exactly the same as the Young Republican organizations and the Tea Party, in the sense that their entire purposes is to push/warp GOP agenda. JayOzOne
Except that the New Party was filled with a bunch of socialists and commies. And the TEA party is filled with anarchists and fascists. Six of one, half dozen of the next.

JayOzOne
Come on Jay. Do you really believe this?If liberals had figured out how to shout out the opposition at town hall meetings, you'd swear they were leaning toward a fascist mindset. There is no civil discourse and if you don't agree with us, you have no right to be heard. Do you support that view? And, using violent symbolism to identify "targets" on the opposing side of political issues is certainly indicative of an anarchistic mindset. To say nothing of giving forum and approval to celebrities who endorse armed conflict and secession as the steps necessary to correct the problems in this country. Of course I feel that way. MattRyan2Canton
You can maybe call extreme libertarians anarchists but fascism has absolutely nothing to do with the tea party. People wanting less government and less spending is actually contradictory to fascism.that guy is a moron. socialism is everything Hitler preached. but there's a perversion of history and politics that allow the sheeple to sleep at night. MattRyan2Canton
The National Socialist German Workers' Party (German: Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei (help·info), abbreviated NSDAP), commonly known in English in short form as the Nazi Party, was a political party in Germany between 1920 and 1945. Its predecessor, the German Workers' Party (DAP), existed from 1919 to 1920. The term Nazi is German and stems from Nationalsozialist,[7] due to the pronunciation of Latin -tion- as -tsion- in German (rather than -shon- as it is in English), with German Z being pronounced as 'ts' as well.
