Is Obama A Popular President? If So, Why Do You Think So?

1st off. I think his popularity has waned as the economy sinks. The excuse that its Bush's fault is falling on deaf ears. I would question If Presidents Can influence the economy as the Left paints the Bush Recession as our current problem, the Why is Obama given a total pass(by the MSM) when it continues to sink?

Well, the coolness effect our Pres. once had is now looking as sullenness and amateurness. His constant blaming and taking of NO credit is waning on the minds of even liberals. Maureen Dowd is now upset as is a # of media heads.

So, is he still popular? Abroad? NO. At Home? Decreasing rapidly.

If he was popular he would have gone to use his charms before the NC gay debate. If he was popular, he would have gone to Wisc. for the Walker recall vote, instead, they sent Bill Clinton and 2 porn stars, and got less then 1000 people to show up.

So, I put the question to the board.

*crickets*

he's popular with the jet set elite, ivory tower liberals, do what i say not as i do, i know what's better for you and your money than you do set.

What he said and a lot of women who are attracted to powerful or wealthy men, no matter how odd they look. Then you have the college crowd who find him 'cool' because he's Black, and appears on talk shows. Face it, we live in a rare time where odd-looking nerds are somehow cool. Pretty sure being Prez is a game changer for perception.

Everything he tries to accomplish, even when he tried to appeal to Republicans, he get's filibustered. The racists in this thread like to claim Obama wipes his behind with the constitution (while offering no proof) all while their beloved Republican party forces him to get 60 votes for anything. So much for majority rules.

We were losing 750,000 jobs a month while Bush was in office and the dow dropped to under 7000. Now we are creating Private sector jobs all while public sector jobs (shrinking government) are going away and the dow is over 12000.

The racists keep saying he is a muslim socialist who is also a communist, marxist, taoist, buddhist, illegal alien who pals around with his christian reverend and other domestic terrorists, but the real socialists around the world are wondering where the socialism is.

We should have a public option, but instead we have a Republican plan in place, which the Republicans hate.

We should have stricter gun laws, but instead he is the first democrat to expand gun ownership rights.

We should've cut the defense budget by 30%, but instead he has raised it every year while continuing the war.

Amen.

Had he been white and had an R next to his name, they would have him on Mount Rushmore right now

I don't think any president is reaaly poular. Think about it, is anyones boss ever popular wherever you work? And the guy has achieved the highest office in the nation. Even the ones that voted for him are not going to like him all the time and the ones who voted against him would never "

stoop" to liking him.

Because politics makes people stupid.

I don't know what kind of halcyon vision some of you have, but Ronald Reagan had plenty of detractors and we know what you guys think of him.

So no, Obama.. your boss, is not popular.

BTW, was GW Bush popular? How many times did you guys vote for him? be hinest.

I'm 41 years old, and I've voted in every election that I've been eligible for, and the only guy I ever voted for that one was Clinton.

I think I am voting Romney in this election, leaning that way, so it's looking good for President Obama.
