Obama consistantly goes abroad and misspeaks, badly. He goes abroad and doesn't know the customs of the host nation, nor protocol. How is this? His aides are obviousely bright people as well, so it must be he doesn't care or is SOO out of touch with reality that he thinks he can do what ever he likes and Dam the torpedoes if a dignitary doesn't like it.

He has know insulted the Polish community by disgracefully stating the Polish Death Camps. The Prime Minister is demanding an apology. For christ sakes, what did Obama study at Harvard? Smoke up Johnie 101? This is incompetence on display from the entire Obama administration, and we, the American people could not look any dumber, then to allow our Leader, to be so arrogant or clueless, THEN VOTE him back in. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-05-30/polish-premier-demands-u-s-response-to-obama-death-camp-remark.html

President Obama has a long track record of insulting the Poles. In 2010 he chose to play golf on the day of the funeral of the Polish President Lech Kaczynski, the Polish First Lady, and 94 senior officials who perished in the Smolensk air disaster. Eight months earlier he humiliated Warsaw by pulling out of the agreement over Third Site missile defence installations in Poland and the Czech Republic. And last night Barack Obama caused huge offence in Poland by referring to a Nazi death camp in Poland as “a Polish death camp” while awarding the Presidential Medal of Freedom to a Polish resistance fighter. As ABC’s Jake Tapper reported:

"Weasel words from the White House will do little however to calm Polish anger. After all, these were carefully scripted remarks by the president reading off a teleprompter. Six millions Poles died at the hands of Nazi Germany during World War Two, including three million Polish Jews during the Holocaust. The president’s use of the term “Polish death camp” is hugely insulting to the Polish people, and will reinforce the growing image across Eastern and Central Europe of an American presidency that cares little for key US allies, especially against the backdrop of its controversial and weak-kneed “reset” policy towards Russia. For a US administration that likes to boast of “smart power,” this was an act of staggering historical ignorance as well as crass insensitivity"

A drunken frat boy walks into the temple as the Dalai Lama is speaking and asks for a pizza. "What makes you think I can give you pizza?", asks the holy man. "My buddies told me that you can make me one with everything", replies the frat boy.

That is a fairly major distinction.

6 Million poles were KILLED and many were in those concentration camps. I suppose Harvard and Occidental didn't broach the Warsaw Ghetto's in history class. This is Obama being intellectually lazy, as many other things he's said and done abroad. For christ sakes, he's reading from a TELEPROMPTER..........But, Bush was dumb, Sarah Palin is dumb and Romney is a evil. Yea, November can't get here fast enough.

Was expecting a Pollock joke.

It appears that he has stated that he misspoke and has already apologized. What's more interesting to me is that you didn't use just one Drudge headline for your thread title but two this time.

Gibbs, you are simply an apologist. This was NOT a slip of the tongue. It was HIM being ignorant. Marxists, socialist, routinely discuss history deleting atrocities, framing history in a light NOT relevant to reality, and making up facts to fit their world view. I believe this is just an example of Obama sitting in his round table discussions ALL those years with people who repeat the oft told lies abt Europe and the War and he actually thought this.

Seriously, is that the biggest issues we have? The fact that he phrased it wrong?

no, it's just the tip of the iceberg. how he messes up polish and nazi i'll never know, very distinct differences. the clown doesn't know anything, his definition of activist judge is by far the most commical thing i've heard a potus say.

Where do you think the camps were located?

just because someones intentions are "good" doesn't clear them of reprucussions when **** hits the fan.

Is this a new concept? I don't recall that being applied under some other Presidents. Let's just chalk it up to bad intelligence.

This is such a hair-brained insult that is repeated ad nauseam by some here. Is the guy supposed to go out interview and report his his own stories? Or should (if this is how he chooses to post) go to a news site that he (just because some have a problem with Drudge doesn't not mean that all do) trusts and headline the stories that he thinks are worth discussing here........and more often than not they do cause discussion. I see nothing at all wrong with what he does anymore than serendipity quoting the Huffington Post......I don't see the issue, or the cause for the constant whining about the practice.
