1st) Marcus Lattimore, RB, SC

2nd) Tyrann Mathieu, nickel CB, LSU (falls due to height, not as many game changing plays)

3rd) Tavon Austin, slot WR, WVU (height issue, top playmaking slot WR)

We could go for a tight end early, and same for a DE or DT, but to get the best RB outside of Trent Richardson and AP in recent years and dynamo slot WR that HD never became will do wonders for our offense. Dunta is almost done in Atlanta, and Mathieu is the ideal physical playmaking slot CB.

Our O-line will be good after this recent draft, our LBs are fine, and we extended DeCoud or I'd love to see Ray Ray Armstrong as a 6'4 free safety from Miami covering Miami alum Jimmy Graham.

Ray Ray is a strong safety, who struggles in coverage.

Ray Ray had an off year. He stayed when everyone else left Miami to show people he is a premier center fielding FS prospect.

Dude is 6'4, 215 lbs with 4.4 speed. Let's see what he does this year before you peg him as a strong safety in-the-box only type.

its way way way early, but I think Lattimore has a greater chance of falling in the draft. Since the league has shifted draft philosophies, I can see Lattimore falling out of the first round easily due to his:

1. heavy workload

2. not having the burst that elite backs have

3. injury concerns

You think a 5'7 return specialist DB who sucks in coverage is the ideal physical nickel corner? Dude can't cover and he is only average against the run. He has a nose for the football and a stellar defense around him. If you watched any LSU games, you would see that he gets burned and run by all the time... but he makes enough highlights blowing up plays that it gets overlooked. Mathieu is the most overrated player in the SEC.

He's underselling him, Mathieu is a great run defender, but at 5'8 he can't cover anyone in press, he's bad in man and in redzone situations.

He's a return man/zone rover. IMO that's a 3-5 guy

I disagree. I've seen every game he has ever played and he is solid in man unless he is playing vs a really tall WR (Justin Hunter, Julio Jones, etc...)

The NFL WRs are getting taller and taller, just look at guys like Baldwin, A.J., Julio.

At best he could cover the slot in man, but he's not worth a top 75 selection imo.

Dude is only a JR as well. I have no doubt he will be a much better player 2 years from now.

NFL outside WRs are getting taller and taller. Slot WRs are staying exactly the same. Wes Welker, Lance Moore, Eddie Royal are all 5'9. Randall Cobb is 5'10. The only "tall" one is Victor Cruz who is 6 ft.

Tyrann, at 5'9, would be a stellar playmaking nickel back in our defense. He won't be overmatched by any WR in the slot, and would be a dynamo in Nolan's system covering the slot, blitzing, and making plays on the run and in the return game.

Guest S. O. D.

We'll need serious help at several positions.

We've got a full brace of picks.

But who knows what "Young" Tom will do with them.
