SwampyMux12 827
Anyone else find it moderately humorous that our new 200 pound safety is stronger than our new 315 pound center ?Charles Mitchell 19 repsPeter Konz 18 reps
Clark Kent™ 4,443
Meh, I am not worried about his upper body strength. His game tape doesn't show a glaring lack of strength at all.
Beezy 54
And still ranked best center in the draft.....ironic!

Steel City Falcon 1,072
Yeah Konz upped his bench to 23 reps at his pro day.
SwampyMux12 827
And still ranked best center in the draft.....ironic!I'm not knocking the Konz pick, I love it! He immediately makes our team bigger, better, and nastier up front. In fact, this was my favorite pick that we made this year. He could potentially be a high level impact player for us the next decade. I just thought it was kind of funny...
Northern_Falcon 785
he also has a smaller body frame which makes it easier to bench.

big_D 520
Meh, I am not worried about his upper body strength. His game tape doesn't show a glaring lack of strength at all.Long as he knows how to use those arms he'll be just fine.

You realize a lineman needs to be bottom heavy not top heavy right?? Meaning he needs to squat a lot of weight.. his upper strength is just a plus... SMH
FalcoChicquera 273
Both Wisconsin linemen did badly on the bench at the combine, but their scouting reports say they have decent upper body strength. That probably says more about the S&C program at the school than the caliber of the athlete. Diesel_Bird 813
I realize that it's not all about bench press and lower body is more important, but still, 18?
