Number2
http://www.atlantafalcons.com/roster-players/#46 Kind of weird for a starting linebacker Maybe it is not set in stone maybe he will take over #50 lol.
I MUS WRITE
46 always reminds me of Todd Christianson the TE from the 80's Raiders. The player makes the number See.kroy beirman's 71....Well the jury is still out on him so...
tobyd77
robert james has #51 but he may get cut so Lofa will have 51 again.
Ethos
He chose #46 as a reminder that when we run a 46 defense to get his @ss on da field. Then, when he get's his @ss on the field and blows up some unlucky fellow he can emulate Spoon by saying NOW GET DEY @SS OFF DA FIELD! DirtyBird304
I'd say James will be cut.
jlrfalcon
And having Julio Jones take 11 is not odd also?

jlrfalcon
Not at all, 11-19 is a norm for wr's nowadaysYes, there are WR's with 11-19 but the 80's are the "norm" just like the 50's are the "norm" for LB's but some go to the 40's or 90's.Irregardless, his only options currently in the 50's were 53 and 58 - (Van Note retired at 57) and he would probably be setting a bad omen to pick Lofton's 58. We have Keyshawn Johnson to think for that. Him getting #19 with the Jets and then the NFL eventually in 2004 made it part of the numbering system. Not too many linebackers sporting numbers in the 40s. Usually 50's and 90's. When the NFL came out with the numbering systems the 90's weren't a part of it.It was broken down like this. This numbering system was established in 1973.1-19 - QB's, K's, P's20-40 - RB, DB50-59 - LB's60-79 - OL, DL80's - WR'sSince then there have been 2 major changes. The use of numbers in the 90s for DL and LB's and the use of numbers in the teens for WR's.
