So Enough About Lofton Let's Talk About April Events For Football

So a lot of things have gone on so far within the last few months after the SB some things we liked that our FO did and many we didn't and some that had us scratching our heads like a person with bad dandruff. With April around the corner a lot is going to go down in 2012 a time of the year we missed last year and that is offseason activities so I figured i would lay out a schedule that I recently found on what to in April something that should get us all excited on what to expect within the coming weeks.

Well, the Super Bowl is finished, and while the Bears weren't participating, at least neither were those cheeselovers up north (or those Clint Eastwood-backed, Eminem-loving, car-making up and comers from Detroit). So begins another offseason, full of hope and optimism - especially now that Jerry Angelo has been shown the door. Feb. 20 - First Day to Franchise Tag Players

Feb. 22-28 - NFL Combine

March 5 - Deadline to Apply Franchise Tag

March 13 - Free Agency Period Begins at 4 pm

Mid-April - OTAs begin for all teams (maximum of 10 OTAs)

Late April - 2012 NFL season schedule is released

April 26 - First Round of NFL Draft

April 27 - Second and Third Rounds of NFL Draft

April 28 - Fourth through Seventh Rounds of NFL Draft

Late July - Training Camps Begin

Early August - Preseason Games Begin

Alright for some of us that have been caught up in other things the Falcons were quietly doing you may have not been keeping up with whom the Falcons have been working out lately from the draftees in 2012.
