Falcons Draft Strategy

Recommended Posts

They have an unsigned player from last years roster at SS, OLB, CB, OC, WR/PR, and TE. Only one was a starter and no multiple losses at any one position. Only three pieces need to be added to the defense with one at each position except DL. On offense we have three holes to fill also at three different positions. This gives us flexibility in the draft because we could use one of pretty much everything. Also, we are drafting for depth only. The only place we could need an immediate starter is OC if Hawley cant fill the need from within the organization. The only OC with immediate starter potential is Peter Konz who is not likely to last until #55. If he did, that selection should be a no brainer. Whatever holes remain after the draft will be filled in free agency on the cheap.
