I Commend Dimitroff For Holding This Team Together.

A playoff team makes the playoffs more often than not and 3 out of 4 years qualifies us as such. With all that success we have retained MOST of our team losing two starters last year in Dahl and Koenen. That was amoungst the addition of Ray Edwards and Julio Jones to replace Jamaal Anderson and Michael Jenkins who were cut.

This year we have retained most of our free agents again albeit again out of money against the cap, and again unable to afford a couple starters in Lofton and Weems who has already signed in CHI. Koenen was replaced with a 6th rd pick that started out shaky but finished up pretty solid. Dahl we attempted to replace from within with Reynolds and eventually Hawley with neither capable of matching the production lost in Dahl. Hawley atleast showed promise and some stability. Reynolds looks to be a bust.

Lofton could again be replaced from within as 2nd year man Akeem Dent was probably drafted in rd 3 to be groomed to start in his second season ala FS Thomas DeCoud and to a lesser degree Corey Peters who actually started as a rookie. With no 1st rd pick our 2nd rd pick will need to be an immediate contributer. Our 3rd rd pick will need to be more like Peters and less like DeCoud and Dent.

If we are going to add a new starter or two this year it will have to be from the draft. As long as we find immediate help from rd 2 and a PR in the late rds, we can probably afford to wait for an eventual starter from rd 3.

At best we find one starter, imo, in the draft, seeeing how we don't have a 1st round pick.

Look man. Is this team trending upwards or downwards? TD should be indicted.

Whoever we draft depends on wat we do in FA... If we dnt sign a LT then i could see them trying to go get one early.. but if not then most likely our 2nd pick will be a TE...

If fleener or orson not there then i can see us going for more d-line help then, curry would be nice, never can have enough pass rushers... Idc wat they do, but as long as its dealing with the lines TE,T,DE is the top positions right now

? Can't tell if serious or joking? The draft is a crapshoot. You can find two pro-bowlers with 2 picks there's no way of really telling. Having a first round draft pick doesn't dictate a succesful draft or not.

You are absolutely right, the draft is a crap shoot. But, more 1st round draft picks are more successful than those selected later, wouldn't you agree?
