Grading Our De's

I think that we do have depth but just lack an "explosive" game changer John Abraham is more of a very good two at this point in his career he may be able to turn the clock back but I doubt it. Ray Edwards and Kroy Beariman are not the same kind of players but play on the same level as far as production. Then that leave's Lawrence Sidbury I do think he's just a pass rusher at this point he didn't look very good against the run the few times he was run at but he has the talent to be an elite pass rusher I was kind of disapointed he did bust out his spin move he was known for but I do think he would be better suited to play in a 3-4 as an OLB and the same can be said for Kroy two.But I think if we could pick up one other pass rusher in FA I would feel very good about our DE's. And I would take Kameron Wimbley because he can play either 3-4 OLB or 4-3 DE and pair him with Nolan he may be the next Cameron Wake but then again if we play more 4-3 then Mark Anderson may be the better move as I think he a little bigger but it hard to say because I jut think Wimbley a more "Explosive" player.

Under Nolan, every last one of our DE's have potential to be great.

You mention Cameron Wake...Who knew about him before Nolan got his hands on him? I think people will be surprised by our DE rotation this year.

I'm not saying he is the answer to all of our concerns or will be the "Explosive" pass rusher you seek but I think it will be very interesting to see how Nolan utilizes Biermann. Known for his versatility; he has made some signature defensive plays the last couple of years. He also played OLB in college. He may be the DE we ask to do a variety of things ie drop back in pass coverage, rush the Qb with hand in dirt or from standing start ie 3-4 OLB or 4-3 DE...may not show up in stats but i think will be a valuable part of the D.

I also have high hopes this is the year for Sid. It would nice to go one off-season without DE being a top priority.

Kroy has some locked up potential. He's shown flashes just like Sid. Two pick sixes in two years by any DE is impressive. I'm predicting a big year for him under Nolan.
