muskokas finest ©
Heard that the 60/70s monster soap opera was being given the film treatment and am glad to find out it will be Tim Burton and campy.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=isjg9O7ifwM

pencilpusher. just because
Not a fan of any of Burtons live stuff, except Beetle Juice. loved the original Dark shadows and think Jonathan Frid was an awesome vampire.

GENERALZOD
LOL! That's not at all what I thought it was going to be. I thought they were going to make it more like the older TV show. I like the part where the girl told him "Are you stoned or something?" and he said "They tried stoning me, it didn't work".
pencilpusher. just because
after watching the trailer and it's "comedy" I hope Tim Burton dies in a fire. This would have been an excellent chance and the perfect time to bring some dignity back to the vampire as a horror genre. And lord knows what was a great genre and mythology has taken a beating and vampires nowadays are teen heartthrobs who sparkle in the sunlight. Even if its a decently made movie it will suck ****s because of what it could have been. And as I said not a fan of Burtons live actor stuff except for beetlejuice. Sweeny Todd did have its moments and some fine actimng from good actors. But this lpooks like a travesty. And no, I don't really wish anyone to die in a fire. muskokas finest ©
I'm not a Burton fan by any means, but I don't think a 70's soap could fly with the serious treatment. They tried that 20 years ago on NBC. It looks to me that they play it serious until Barnabas gets to 1972, then take it for laughs. I think that could work, even with Johnny Depp.
Billy Pilgrim
I thought this was going to be a serious movie. Well, so much for Depp bringing credibility back to vampires.
