I'm Not Concerned That We Haven't Signed Anyone, I'm Concerned

That we haven't even brought anyone in, been interested in anyone,

Just saw that the DT from Miami resigned, why not bring him in for talks, why no talk about any OT, nothing on DE, DT, nothing about a trade for Freeney, Osi

I understand the sometimes illogical nature of day 1 deals, but.... Tampa just got way better, Carolina's going to be better, neworleans has had our number the past 4 years, I don't see BETTER in our offseason..... YET,

TD has always tricks up his sleeve

i just hate that there is no news about the falcons period. i hate this being hush hush dont let any news out. im starting to think td is not making any moves to make this team bettter.

I think what a lot of people are losing sight of is this - Player A needs to be an improvement over the current player. The only case I have seen of this would have been Nicks, but look what the Bucs spent. The other players that would follow this logic resigned with their respective teams - we didn't stand a chance unless we overpaid

you have no idea what goes on behind closed doors. over half the teams out there right now are not saying a word.

just be patient. I said they were not going to do anything until late Thursday at the earliest.

If the Falcons stumble in 2012.....don't make the playoffs or do and get embarrassed once again then bigger changes than just coordinators will happen.....

Unless Blank's "press conference anger" is just a show to placate season ticket holders and the fan base.

Agreed, however I still believe they were a big reason for our failures. Hurts to see some of our starters go now that we have new coaches, who knows what would have been had that been done at the end of last year.

Not sure, they will just blame it on injurys throughout the year. Just like coaches and GMs don't like to admit draft mistakes or failed FA signings, Owners don't like to admit mistakes neither.

Sure, the coordinators were awful. Changes in that area will improve our team to a degree.

But let's be honest here - we have been manhandled against the elite teams, schematically and physically. The physical part is players, period. Doesnt have a thing to do with the coaching.

The coordinators weren't our only problem.

This team has got to get bigger and tougher, and somehow get a winning mentality because we were just as weak mentally as we were physically last season.

House coming with the truth.

Coordinators can't infuse heart and will into players.

If we win big in 2012, I'll be the first to admit I overreacted, and I'll gladly eat my humble pie, but I refuse to aplogize about being concerned about the state of our Offensive and Defensive Lines. Manuwai is more than likely way better than Hawley or Reynolds., but he's not the best we can do. Why Carl Nicks (an effing Suc) and Ben Grubbs (who is now an effing AIn't) haven't been brought in for a visit is beyond me. Maybe the FO is doing their due dilligence, but letting an embarassed fanbase know they are, would go a long, long way.

I understand there is a lot of hyperbole and overreaction on the boards, but the smug, "I'm so above it all" attitude of posters blasting people for voicing those concerns is as equally obnoxious as the chicken littles.

Agree.

It's funny when you think about it.

The two best FA Offensive linemen went to our division rivals....and hardly anyone is pizzed off about it.

Two months ago, everyone was clammoring for them to come to Atlanta, now barely a mouse fart.

I'm pizzed off. Due diligance, "Stouter", Blanks angry press conference, "we're about rings now"......i was expecting alot more effort up to this point, if anything.

the smug people who say "yawn" as opposed to offering anything constructive can be tiresome.

but to be completely honest, a notable few aside, everyone on here is just running around reacting to news, being caught up in whatever is current.

think, question, respond....

If everyone has to stick by what they say on here it would be hilarious.

4 "opinions" that I have to stick with

-Draft Ryan

-Bosher will be a good punter, stop freaking out he is a rookie

-JA98 will improve, I can see him turning a corner

-I hate Roddy White's attitude, and would love to see him traded

Those 4 points will see a fan base divided. Everyone is right and wrong, but freaking out and reacting is just plain dumb

I have a llloooonnng history of being an o-line proponent. The o-line can make the whole team better.

The QB has more time to throw, as well as more confidence in having time to throw.

WR's can run their routes without breaking off to help a scrambling QB.

RB's have bigger holes more often.

The defense stays off the field longer, is less winded, and has fewer chances to give up points.

I wanted Grubbs or Nicks: not Mario. We now have no RG worth a monkey crap. We have a RT trying valiantly to man the LT spot, but is poorly suited to do so. We actually are in danger of having no C. None of the backup linemen showed anything at all: no heart, no fire, no mean-streak, no dominating talent--- nothing.

We are soooo screwed.

Also the opposing defense have to blitz more to get to your QB, meaning more open receivers down field.

The lines both offensive and defensive have always been the key to any successful team, not the fancy flash players.

So much this.

Watching the 49ers and Ravens and Giants in the playoffs I just could not believe how gigantic they look. We look like a college football team compared to just the eye-test size of those three

what's it matter? were not getting williams. given the contract **** command, im just fine with that.

It is to illustrate the point that just because we do not hear something it does not mean it is not happening.

And even in our age of 24/7 coverage and dozens of "insiders" who report, we never will really know everything what a team is working on.
