Kincaide shared on radio that he called John Clayton personally to ask about Atlanta Falcons and Mario Williams - Clayton said the following:

  • Falcons are going for Mario Williams
  • Falcons will do re-structure of deals, etc. on rest of roster to make it happen
  • Mario might not want to come here because no other pass rushers....

there you have it - straight from "the Professor's mouth" through Kincaide.

Ha. Wonder what RayRay thinks about that. Maybe it will light a fire under his arse.

That's what I've been thinking. If he does come, Abraham may change his tune some.

Do you, Mario lunnies, see this? He may not want to come because there are no others on the other side that can help him. Now, if he is sooooooooooooooo good, then why does he need another person opposite than him to make him good? Abraham came when he didnt really have no one on the other side from him.

No good player likes to be the only one. Then the game plan will always be against you and can actaully be VERY painful throughout the year and cause you to wear down pretty fast. Ask Turner.

I'm inclined to agree with you but I take that statement with a grain of salt unless it was a direct quote from MW

Mario can beat double-teams - but let me ask you FlyingFalcon - if you were a premier defensive end, would you prefer to have other NFL teams double team you or not? if you were Larry Fitzgerald, elite WR, would you prefer to have teams double team you or not?

Abe had Patrick Kerney when he arrived. Dude was a pro-bowler.

Kincaide is one of the most annoying around Atlanta (besides Jedi). He does have contacts in the national media due to his Sunday ESPN show.

yeah, but cant use hindsight here. I am sure being opposite of Kerney was a big reason Abe wanted to come to ATL and not SEA (who the Jets wanted to trade him to)

Oh no sir. Not using hindsight at all. Just adding for those who didn't understand the original statement. It was spot on.

Hope this means something good.

I see this as someone putting words in his mouth. For all you know, Clayton is putting words in his mouth, which would make your point invalid.
