What The He11 Happen?

We went from have a ton of cap sapce 15+ mil then yesterday it came out we only have 5.7 ?

I don't think you guys get it this is really bad because Lofton is all but gone Aba well you can't spend 6-8 mil on him plus we don't even have it to spend everyone else is already wheeling and ealing or at least perpraing to make offers. I mean I for one can say I'm not happy with what has happen so far for one the cap space is there if TD wanted it to spend cut a couple of guy and restructure some and 10-15 mil can easly be free'ed up.

I don't know about anybody else but to bring in two guys that haven't even played football in a year and then it all appers as if were going to maybe sign a LT I like McNeil but remeber if he was that good SD wouldn't be cutting him if they do and same can be said about Winston,Levi Brown. Then throw the cherry on top were going to lose two of our best players in Lofton and Abaham.

We have 5.7 Mil to spend it appears we'll bring back HD that should cut about 2 more Mil off so now were down 3.7 mil thats not enough to even sign a good player when you throw in the draft

So it appers we're going to stand pat with the players we have but still lose Lofton and Aba.

Then you could also think TD might be holding back in the sense he has moves in place(cuts,Restructure's) but is waiting to release the info as they may want to appear to have no cap space. It could be smart as they could then swoop right in and grab anybody they want as they weren't expected to be inplay for them, But if Robinsons restructured deal was broke/leaked you think we hear something on anybody else right? And same can be said for any cuts as well.

In the past seasons even If I viewed any of the moves we may bad(robinson) I still likes the fact that TD was trying to make the team better. We may be looking at missing the playoffs next year if we let Lofton and Aba go but don't eilther replace them on fill needs on offense and either will be very to do with about 4 mil to spend.

I guess it could be that Dimitroff knew it'd be another year until we could make a bigger FA splash......what with the likely contracts of Gonzo (7 mil) and Turner (5 mil) coming off the books.

You make a good point about losing Abe and Lofton....although if Tatupu is really healthy that could actually end up being a cheaper upgrade......

I'd have a nervous breakdown if I worried about this. I loose enough sleep already worrying if my viagra is going to fail me one day. I place my trust in Blank, Smith and Dimitrioff.

That's where he loses me, trying, and more often than not, as of late, going the cheap route when addrresing our line deffiencies. Man doesn't see the big picture, focusing on skill positions, rather than seeing the obvious lack of talent we have on the lines, (Oline in particular), trying to save a nickel and in the long run willl cost us. Does anyone truely believe that Tatupu/Manuwai will be effective acquitions to upgrade our lines? Keeping in mind that both are coming off injuries and neither played a snap in 2011? Grasping at straws comes to mind to me.

Nothing happened.

Swifty and Trigg said this 5-6 months ago.

we were in serious cap trouble, but the rose colored glasses wearing folks who apparently cant add said we were straight. jokes on them, and collectively us. but i knew it was coming. so nothing changed for me.

TD was at the poker table, he went all in last year, and now we have a short stack. we will play tight and hopefully in few years have enough money to make a move. But serious change is coming AGAIN to our core group of "it" guys.

one day falcons fans will wise up to TD, and will say Swifty and Trigg been dogging this guy since 2009 and they were right, perhaps we shouldnt call them names, but appreciate that they have a better grasp of football the game and the business.

i knew this was coming and its funny

You keep telling yourself that you're as knowledgable as he is though and maybe some day it will come true.

Keep reachin' for the stars little fella.

yes, the julio jones was 5 picks for us teee hee.

jokes on you joe. julio gamble didnt pay off, and now we are scrambling....this is not fun at all

Trigger, it's too early to say that Julio trade didnt pay off. Let's see what he does this year. I give 1st rounders atleast 2-3 years to see if they pan out. Julio DID do extremely well for a Rookie though.

Julio shows all the signs of being a stud, game changing WR for a lot of years.

no arguments from me there.

but last time i checked that aint what wins you a super bowl gritsy.

TD thought we were a weapon away from the big run, we tried last year and arthur blank was stuck again with struggle face at the end of round 1 playoff game
