Guest Deisel
I know its still early but Obama will continue losing voters as this economy slids. We can see some improvement in select portions of our economy, but with real estate # continuing their historic implosion and gas prices affecting market prices of Everything, he loses. The Monarch
It really is amazing how many of snake's threads are simply copy-and-paste jobs from Drudge. If you go there right now, there is a link with the exact title of this thread. He just sees a headline, then copies and pastes it here without actually reading. What a sad way to live. How about the U2 and U6 #'s. The math being used to calculate the jobs #'s is difficult to follow.

The math being used to calculate the jobs #'s is difficult to follow. How many people in this country can cite the unemployment rate or the jobs numbers? It's a diffuse sense that the economy is improving based on objective indicators that people observe in their daily lives. In that sense, job growth, GDP growth, and other factors are pointing in a positive direction and people have become more optimistic and more supportive of Obama over the past three months as a result. You keep saying that the economy is "sliding" or in a downturn, but there is no objective evidence to support that.
Leon Troutsky
Spinjob exposed.Get your facts right. The unemployment rate did decline over the past three months. And the economy has added a million jobs over the past five months.

Guest Deisel
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, a Nevada Democrat, called a new CBS News and New York Times survey finding that 80 percent of Americans are not better off financially than they were four years ago “so meaningless.” Reid said he does not “believe in” the poll’s results. The Daily Caller asked Reid for his assessment of the poll’s findings. (RELATED: More on Harry Reid)“I’m not much of a pollster guy. As everyone knows, there isn’t a poll in America that had me having any chance of being re-elected, but I got re-elected,” he told TheDC.“I think this poll is so meaningless. It is trying to give the American people an idea of what 300 million people feel by testing several hundred people. I think the poll is flawed in so many different ways including a way that questions were asked. I don’t believe in polls generally and specifically not in this one.”The poll, conducted among 1009 adults nationwide between March 7-11 via telephone, found that “just 20 percent of Americans feel their family’s financial situation is better today than it was four years ago” while “another 37 percent say it is worse and 43 percent say it is about the same.”According to the survey, President Obama’s approval rating has hit a new low of 41 percent.Read more: http://dailycaller.com/2012/03/13/reid-poll-finding-80-percent-of-americans-not-better-off-so-meaningless/#ixzz1p1y0a2Uo
