Tribal Chief
denver has to get manning. it's no secret that fox and elway are not sold on tebow, yet the fans are in love with him. manning would be their only way to get rid of tebow without angering the fanbase. i know it's not scientific, but on the denver post there was a poll question basically asking tebow or manning, and manning had over 60% of the vote with almost 20k votes.Denver would also be a 12 win team with Manning under center. They will have to add 1 more WR if they lose Royal. They may also go after Wayne or Garcon if they can snag Manning. Possibly Clark and Addai as well
Guest Gritz
I think it's a slam dunk that it's going to be either Miami or Denver.

Tribal Chief
Denver is getting a lot of hype, but IMHO makes the least bit of sense for both sides.Denver has a top defense and we all know QB was their biggest issue all season. They have a good team and if they can get some of Mannings old offensive toys to come with him, I see no reason why they can't be a true contender. Butudontseeme™
Harbaugh has only been in SF for a year, the year of the lockout, so he's had little chance to address his QB situation. Michael Crabtree is a pretty good WR, especially with a decent QB.I understand that, but they didn't even make a play for a veteran backup for smith to push his production and actually compete to start. As far as Crabtree goes, he is overrated and has been since he was drafted I think. Btw, Alex Smith did his part to win the NFC championship game va the giants. But like I said, maybe Manning doesn't want to play in San Fran, just like he didnt want to play in Washington.

He drafted TT too early. TT should be groomed like Kordel Stewart, but Orton/TT would'nt go for it.They are a QB away from being a serious contender, but also a moment away from controversy and bull crap. Why would a HOF QB on his swan songwant that potential mess...he would just as well sign with the Skins and hear the Eli/Peyton noise. Tebow knows he sucks. He knows he's no where near being any type of complete or half decent QB and John Fox is doing nothing to help him. Changing the offense didn't really help. I'm sure the fans in Denver would greatly appreciate a QB of Peyton's caliber under center. They would be so much closer to the Super Bowl with Peyton behind center. Also, Kansas City would be a great fit as well. The AFC West and NFC West will be the most logical divisions if he truly wants to win. I would like to see Houston make a run for him as well but that's highly unlikely

Not to mention it just seems to be a media circus and I don't think PM is down for all that.Agree with the bold...I can see KC and Az(indoors/Fitz) as well. Guest TheIdowu
Tampa Bay has alot of money to spend and are not really seeing any progression from Josh Freeman, so any chance they could come out of nowhere and land Peyton Manning? The Eagles shocked everybody by grabbing Nnamdi last year outta nowhere, could Tampa be this year's shocker?Freeman has only been the league three seasons man

Especially if he plays bad. His best bet is to find a team that has a good enough offensive line to keep him from getting hit that much. They made it clear that they were gonna go after him just like every other team in the league. The biggest surprise from them was not trading Asante. Freeman will be ok. He's throwing to a mid round draft pick, a second round reach and some other no name players. All they need is a good veteran WR to help those guys out, Vincent Jackson should be that man Edited March 10, 2012 by ya_boi_j
