Xx FaLcOhoLiC Xx
Tampa Bay has alot of money to spend and are not really seeing any progression from Josh Freeman, so any chance they could come out of nowhere and land Peyton Manning? The Eagles shocked everybody by grabbing Nnamdi last year outta nowhere, could Tampa be this year's shocker?

Mid-Nite-Toker
Tampa Bay is too far away(SB) IMHO...but I can't understand why the 49ers are not in talks.49ers were really a QB away from a SB...SPT mistakes could have been negated. muskokas finest ©
Tampa has the cap space, but not necessarily the will to spend it. The soggy grass at Raymond James isn't really a good fit for Peyton.
jfalconsp
Would bet you a lot of money that it will never happen. Miami or Denver IMO, don't see him going to the Seahawks or Cardinals.

If it did happen, the NFC South would probably be known for lighting the scoreboard up like the AFC North is for defence.

Mid-Nite-Toker
Peyton on the 49ers with that OL, "D", and weak division is a 1st round bye in the p/o...bring in RW and another PM pal(Addai?) to seal it.

Also, if for some reason Peyton doesn't work out, you've set your franchise back several years.

Also, if for some reason Peyton doesn't work out, you've set your franchise back several years. That would be the case with any team going with Peyton. 49ers were a team that could be a consistent threat with PM, not just a QB having the flashin the pan season. I don't believe they are paying AS like a franchise QB so why not...he would be insurance.

He only costs money, not trade value or picks.

I just offered a reason why I think they aren't. Obviously, if 100% healthy, Peyton probably takes that team to the Super Bowl. Maybe the niners just question his health, or maybe Peyton doesn't want to play there, like the case with the redskins.
Butudontseeme™
I don't think Harbaugh believes that for a second. Jim just did and said what it took to get the most out of his team.Well Harbaugh obviously believes he has something in Alex Smith. They've not made a serious play for another QB, whether in the draft or fa, since he's been there. He may just think Smith is "just good enough. " not to mention, outside of Vernon Davis, they had virtually no receiving threats.

The soggy grass at Raymond James isn't really a good fit for Peyton. The Glazer family does this to Manchester United FC and their local fan base hates them(fiscal reasons)...TB would be a shocker.PM actually has pretty good numbers the last 4/5 outdoors(he is suited for indoors)...he needs solid protection more then anything. The 49ers haveit and a "D" to get him the chances...a favorable path to a SB and padding stats.

Joremarid
denver has to get manning. it's no secret that fox and elway are not sold on tebow, yet the fans are in love with him. manning would be their only way to get rid of tebow without angering the fanbase. i know it's not scientific, but on the denver post there was a poll question basically asking tebow or manning, and manning had over 60% of the vote with almost 20k votes. Michael Crabtree is a pretty good WR, especially with a decent QB.
