J-RoC770
Dudes a fast LB, I think he would be an upgrade over Nicholas. What do you guys think?
dsgb229
i was thinking something like this today but was on the lines of if we lose lofton is there anyone that could move to mlb and pick him or some of the other talent at olb cause there more talented olb free agents then mlb free agents this year but if ts not alot to sign them. Smiler11
Yes - Lawson was great for the Bengals last year. He can play in a 3-4 or 4-3, he's good in coverage, I suppose it helps when you have 4.4 speed, and he can rush the passer. He's played under Nolan and he's played opposite Mario Williams in college
hunchie00
Is this guy available. i wont lie i dont know alot bout players on other teams unless we get them and i look them up but if he can improve or not have a big drop off in play then i am all for it not that my opinion matters...lol
Butudontseeme™
I think Nic is good enough where he is and Lawson would probably come a little more expensive. Not that I don't like him, but we have waaaaay bigger needs than to upgrade somewhat marginally at a position that's already adequately manned. Offense, on the other hand, outside of Julio and HD, there is not much speed. Just don't think OLB is a concern right now and with Nolan utilizing more, different blitz packages, you may not necessarily need a good pass rusher from the second level because it will be all about confusing the other team. muskokas finest ©
I knocked this idea last year, but it makes more sense under Mike Nolan's scheme.
isproab
I liked Manny at N.C. State, but he only had one year where he had any kind of impact in San Fran. That being said, If we didn't get a top DE like Mario Williams, I would look to bring in Manny and somebody else to give me some type of pass rush. I wouldn't mind the pick up.
Knight of God
I say yes. I am not against moving Nic to MLB in the least.
VaderMan
This would be an excellent pick up, provided the price is right!
JBourneMurkedU
You guys really want a Wolfpacker on this team huh? First Mario, now Manny.

Knight of God
True True. I always liked Nicholas, even when he was not starting. He shows heart. We are looking at Tatupu now though.
Falcon Fantom
He shows heart. We are looking at Tatupu now though.I seen that. I think if we sign Williams. Crowder, Tatupu, or Lawson would suffice, along with Dent. A lot of people are scared about Dent being "thrown" on the field, but that is exactly what we did with Lofton. dmo_dlo
Lawson is a versatile player that can play in multiple and unique positions and situations. Nolan likes versatile players and he's the type that Nolan can work with.
